Inspired by → Claudia’s posts about her Beauty Duos, I want to show you mine today. :) I chose five of my favorite everyday duos – from skin cleansing to my perfect nude lips.

Clarisonic ARIA & La Mer Cleansing Gel
The basics for your skin – I truly love the → Clarisonic ARIA and keep recommending it to everyone. Together with → La Mer’s “Cleansing Gel”, this is my favorite skin cleansing duo for every day (even though I normally use the brush only once a week because it’s enough for my skin). By the way: for the next step, my skin care duo is the → “Advanced Night Repair” serum from Estée Lauder and → La Mer’s “Soft Cream” (but I think I’ll start to use → the original with a richer formula, now that it’s winter). :)

Bobbi Brown SPF50 Protective Face Base & Guerlain Parure Gold Foundation
A good make-up base is the first step to your perfect complexion. It smoothes the skin, nourishes it and – if there’s a sun protection factor like here – protects your skin from UV rays. I haven’t been using the → base from Bobbi Brown for a long time, but I really think that it’s great. I actually wanted to buy it before our vacay in Brazil and checked every duty-free shop on our way, but it hadn’t been released yet. Now in winter, I don’t really need SPF50, but it doesn’t hurt, right? ;) Otherwise I can just say that this base is absolutely fab and already a candidate for re-buying. One of my current favorite foundations is the re-launched → “Parure Gold” from Guerlain, it has a medium-high opacity and the perfect shade for my pale skin to make it look healthy and give it that special glow.

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel “Bronze Universel” & Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color “High Beam White”
Contouring has become my daily routine. I actually still haven’t tried the latest strobing trend, since I’m already as white as a sheet of paper. ;) That’s why I like to use a bit of bronzer. I love to contour with the → creamy bronzer from Chanel, which I apply with the → Beautyblender (dry) – after foundation but before powdering. The finishing part of every make-up I do is also this highlighter from Shiseido, which unfortunately isn’t available in Germany anymore. I’m still searching for an alternative because this is my second one and I’m afraid it won’t be easy to get another one. Nevertheless, this powder has to be mentioned – especially because I really hope that Shiseido will bring it back (please!!). It has the most beautiful pearly effect, lighting up the skin and subtly shimmering, but at the same time not looking artificial and has no coarse glitter particles – it’s perfect under the eyes (wake-up effect!), on your cheek bones, the forehead, bridge of the nose and between nose and lips – and maybe I’m already kind of a strobing expert. ;)

Shu Uemura Lash Curler & Givenchy “Noir Couture Volume” Mascara
No make-up without my lash curler! My lashes are still not that nice (how many times did I think about doing lash extensions!) and need more curl, besides the color. In daily life, I like to use the curler normally – for special occasions, I like to warm it up a bit (!) with my hair dryer for a curling-iron effect. :) My favorite lash curler is from Shu Uemura, but I’m sure there are a few other great curlers, for example from → Tweezerman. Unfortunately, the natural look doesn’t work for me, that’s why I need at least a bit of brown mascara – but at best, a black one with a brush that does some magic and creates something that wasn’t there before. In this picture you can see one of my favorites by → Givenchy, but my top 3 are: → “Lash Queen Perfect Blacks” from Helena Rubinstein, → “Cils d’Enfer Maxi Lash – So Volume” from Guerlain (and the normal → “Cils d’Enfer” in brown is great too!) and → “So Intense” from Sisley.

Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani “#100” + MAC Lipglass “Glamour For All”
Sometimes, perfect nude lips are all you need. And this is the perfect duo for it. The → Rouge d’Armani in “#100” is a wonderful nude as it is which every woman should own (and the perfect red, which is the → “#400”!), but together with the gloss from MAC, it’s even more beautiful. But this one was limited and just like the highlighter from Shiseido, it’s a product that definitely needs a comeback (at least as a limited edition). You can find a look with it → here or → here.
