In the beginning of November, Marina Rinaldi – definitely one of my favorite brands for classy plus-size fashion – released their first fragrance. I was offered a personalized flacon of the perfume, with my name on it – and you guys know how much I love everything with my name on it (just remember my → summer hat!). ;)

I think it’s always kind of interesting when clothing brands (without a beauty line) or celebrities launch their own fragrance. Especially celebs have mostly disappointed me by creating horribly sweet and extremely heavy scents I just can’t stand because I get a bad headache. But there were a few brand perfumes which actually surprised me because it’s simply something new, something you don’t really expect from them – and there has to be a great perfumer behind the whole thing. ;)

To be honest, I don’t know everything about the story of this fragrance, but the information I received was enough to make me curious. :) So when I picked up my bottle at the Marina Rinaldi store in Hamburg, I was happy to already get the first smell of it – and I was absolutely delighted!

Before I show you the last outfit of my Anna Scholz for sheego lookbook, I’ve got an exclusive denim look for you that I styled in collaboration with sheego. This is actually kind of an official sheego look which I just altered with my own ideas – I didn’t even know it (guess I should apply as a brand stylist, haha!) until I saw my dear → Jules wearing it. ;)

I know that culottes aren’t everybody’s darling. People still stick to the opinion that they’re not flattering, especially when you’re short and/or fat. The thing is: yes, they’re probably not the most flattering piece of clothing one can own, but they’re super stylish and as long as you don’t just dress to look thinner (and in my opinion, that’s the only way that we have to erase from our minds because that’s not the number-one purpose of fashion!), you’re gonna love them. :) They’re comfy and so versatile (you all know my → classic black culottes and I’ve already shown you → more statement-like denim culottes before – these ones are → pretty basic and that’s what I like about them!).

For today’s look, I wanted to do something unusual and a bit 70s and modern hippie themed. So when I found the → paisley blouse and the → fuzzy vest (fake fur, as always!), I already had the whole look in my head. Just add a cool pair of → boots because it’s fall (those have an amazing detail, which is the block heel in red tortoise!), a floppy hat and round sunnies. Funny story: the belt I’m wearing is actually the one that comes with the vest, but since I wanted to wear the vest without it, I thought it would look great as a little contrast detail for the jeans. ;)

It’s been some time since you last saw me with my glasses on – so after the pants I thought it would be nice to bring them back for a special post. They’re on my nose every day but I somehow prefer not to wear them for our shoots. This time, they were exactly what the look needed to be perfect. ;) I guess I should show them more often – glasses can definitely be a great accessory, even if you don’t need them (I do, I’m kind of a mole without them). ;)

But the main actor of today’s post is the plush jacket. I don’t support fur and actually, wearing fake fur isn’t the best idea either because even fake fur can sometimes be real fur and you should definitely check first before you buy or just don’t do it at all. I don’t want to make this post a discussion about morals because I don’t judge people who like fur and I don’t see myself in a position to judge because I eat meat and wear leather, so it’d be kind of hypocritical to do so. Still, I believe that we’re living in a world where fur is pure luxury and not needed – and it is so wrong how mankind “produces” fur products. Anyways, fake fur is definitely a better option if you can’t do without it, and yes, as a style blogger I do like the look of fake fur in winter – especially when it’s such an amazing jacket.

When I went to the market place of → this year’s PSFD, I saw → myPePita’s booth and the jacket instantly caught my eye. It’s such a wonderfully different color combo, a very light gray with a kind of blueish glow, mixed with red and brown and these bold black tiger-like stripes. It’s a statement piece for sure! And the plushy feel ist so soft and great, you won’t even want this to be real fur, it’s more like a cuddly teddy bear that’s warming you. ;) I’m so in love with that jacket and after checking the online store, I found many other pieces I really like – you should definitely have a look at myPePita because it’s another stylish plus-size shop (from EU size 42) which offers actual fashion! And if you feel like ordering, I’ve got something for you – get 15% off your order by using the code Lu1116 at the checkout. :)

First, I wanted to do a look with a flared black dress, but then I decided to do another outfit with my beloved “Lola” dress from Beth Ditto. I love the combo with the dove-gray dress and black details, it’s definitely more interesting than the obvious choice, which is black. Also, it’s good to wear something tight underneath the huge jacket. It will still show your body shape. For some extra attention on the waist (another figure saver and hourglass figure creator, even when you can’t see the whole silhouette), I added a black belt.

I promised you that there’d be more pants coming after I wore them a lot at the → PSFD. The first look is with my new destroyed jeans from Happy Size. → Claus created a second look for me which I individualized a bit by adding my hat and a choker which gives it that special touch, kinda “Glam Rock”.

It is indeed something different for me, not only because of the pants but especially because of the (fake) leather jacket. I think I last wore a leather jacket in 2007. I never really liked them because I’m not really into that “rock style”, but sometimes it’s good to have someone who makes you try something different. It’s good to leave your comfort zone and you can always make a different styling your own by adding some characteristic details. For me, it’s definitely the hat, the extravagant choker and – of course – the bold lips. And guess what – I’ve already worn the jacket again! ;)
