• Recap | December •

That’s it – the last month of 2016 is over. December was pretty relaxed, not that much to do, even though there were a few deadlines and I wanted to show you my festive looks, so I had to fight against the weather which wasn’t that nice at all so we could take some nice photos…

• My December •

Christmas came early for me and my husband, since we visited our families in the beginning of December. Not only was this great because I got to see my parents and celebrated my dad’s birthday with him but also because I had an important appointment at my diabetologist – I got the Dexcom G5, a real-time CGM (better than the FreeStyle Libre – and I’ll write something about it as soon as possible!). This was the best gift for Christmas, because now I’m an upgraded cyborg, perfectly equipped for managing my disease. And I really hope that this will bring me some amazing results for the next time I have to visit my doctor.

Of course, we also spent some time with our friends – we played Laser Tag and I even took first place! :) Getting better every time! Not sure, though, if this is something to be proud of, but at least I found some kind of sports (yes, it’s exhausting!) that I like. I really have to find some people here in Hamburg, a team, and do it more often! :)

I also had an appointment for my last massage of the year and it was the best Christmas gift I gave to myself. :) Don’t forget to participate in → my giveaway, it’s only open until Sunday!

Something really cute that made me very happy was a → Christmas card from a reader and also a postcard from Sevilla from another reader. It’s so cool to receive letters from you, not only through the Internet! This is also a perfect time to not only thank both ladies again, but also to thank everybody here. Your feedback means the world to me and I’m still happy to see that it’s gotten more since I wrote → this post.

I spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve at home with my husband and Rico, chillin’ on the sofa, watching some series and playing “Mario Kart” (we brought home my hubby’s N64 from when he was a kid, and now it’s my turn to finally be a child because I never had one when I was little!). Add some delicious food and a drink or two (champagne!!) – we were absolutely happy with our not-so-festive holidays, even though I had some amazing outfits up my sleeve and ended up wearing my PJs all the time. :D

What’s next?
Well, I don’t have many plans but a few events in January. On Sunday, I’m visiting a store opening here in Hamburg – a plus-size bridal store will be opening and I’m so curious because this will be the first bridal store I’ve ever visited and I kind of hope that I can try a dress on. I didn’t do it before we got married, but now I actually regret it…
At the end of January, it’s also Fashion Week again and I’ll be there at least for one day with sheego, I’ll be part of their “Curvy Talk” at the Panorama fair, together with Sabine Tietz (sheego), Anna Scholz (designer) and Angelina Kirsch (model). Exciting!
I’ll try to do a slow start here on the blog and not hurry too much – especially because the weather is being pretty nasty and not very photography-friendly. So please give me a little bit of time until I can start with my looks of 2017. Got nothing prepared at the moment… ;)

  • Liebe Lu,

            Alles Liebe!
