I must admit – after correcting the colors and sharpness of today’s pictures, somehow, the legs ended up with some weird texture. Don’t worry, though – I didn’t retouch anything and you can obviously see my cellulite! With that in mind, I kindly welcome you to this year’s #BeachBodyNotSorry project! :)

I already got to know about Phylyda last year but there was no time for a collab left. I’m so happy that we managed to do something for this season and this also means that by now, I already own three bikinis from Phylyda, since I escalated at the pop-up store back in April. No “oops” from me because these pieces are worth every cent and their “mix & match” ability is level 100 – every combination looks just amazing! Lydia, the founder of Phylyda, asked me to shoot this combo and I happily said yes, crossed a fence, climbed down many rocks and positioned myself at the Elbe at low tide for a photo shoot that made many people stare (of course, it was so super sunny on that Sunday, so everybody was out for a walk…). And I loved it! Best way to start a new season of my favorite project. Can’t wait to do more of these shoots and I hope you’re also super excited to see more of them!

I am so incredibly happy to finally share this very special editorial with you! It’s been such a lovely day at the beginning of May – perfect summer weather, perfect wedding conditions! ;)

This post is dedicated to all future curvy brides and to my husband who finally had the chance to see (and photograph) his wife not only in one beautiful wedding dress but three, even though we “just” had a civil wedding. Maybe another day… ;)

I’ve teamed up with → Vollkommen.Braut. – our local “Curvy Bridal Concept Store” in Hamburg – for a very special collab: we want to show you that being plus-size doesn’t mean you have to lose weight to wear the dress of your choice, that you can’t wear an actual wedding dress on your big day. You don’t need to give up feeling like a princess, wearing loads of tulle and lace. And you definitely don’t need to wear one of these little jackets or let the tailor add some sleeves to your favorite dress.

You’re the bride – it’s your choice. And you can’t imagine what an overwhelming feeling it is to step outside in such a stunning dress, all ready to say “I do.” and spend one of the most amazing days of your life. Never let anyone dull your sparkle you’ll have when you’re all happy in one of these dresses. And don’t you dare to say “I wish I could wear such a dream, but I’m too fat!” cause you’re not. Believe me, you’ll regret it when you don’t do what your heart wants you to do (or in this case: to wear).

The selection of plus-sized bridal dresses isn’t as small as you’d think – there are so many gorgeous dresses, you’ll probably go crazy when you see them all. My favorite brand has to be Callista and → Vollkommen.Braut. is Germany’s exclusive retailer of their creations. So if you’re not sure where to go to find YOUR dress – book a short trip to Hamburg with your girls, spend a lovely afternoon with the ladies of Vollkommen.Braut. and celebrate your bachelorette party in this wonderful town! :)

Oh, the easy summer looks – how I missed them! :) I’m so glad summer’s back (well, not today while writing this post, it’s raining, but I guess that’s part of living in Germany)!

Today’s outfit kind of reminds me a bit of the country style and I really love how it’s super casual but sexy at the same time. I think the top is actually supposed to be worn with the laces falling down, but I thought it’d be cool to wear them around my neck and I really like the outcome.

And since this look is very cropped, you can say “hi” to my lovely little Dexcom sensor. ;) I promised to not retouch my pictures and not remove my diabetes stuff from my cyborg body because it’s a part of me (the pump is clipped to the bum bag of my jeans), so here it is. ;) That’s also what I meant when I wrote about realness in my last “Private” post. ;)

• Private XV | Naked •

I guess you can see what today’s Private post is about – well, it’s not about literally being naked, but the real #nomakeup without exceptions. No foundation, no concealer, no mascara, no filter. Because this world needs to see more naturalness, more realness – and less “perfection”. The picture above was taken right after removing my make-up and I felt beautiful at this moment. The ones below show my happy self after taking a shower (yup, these are selfies and the sun was shining so brightly I couldn’t help but take some shining pictures!). :)

To be honest, today’s post is not a favorite thing for me to do because I love make-up, I’ve loved playing with it since I was a little kid, and I love wearing it to make myself feel ready to face the world. I love showing me like this, all made up. It sounds pretty dramatic, I know, but make-up is kind of my cocoon when I want to feel great and beautiful. And this is a fact that actually makes me a bit sad – because we’re all beautiful without make-up. We don’t need to hide behind several layers of BB Creams and powder, behind shimmering eye shadow and the perfect “cat eye” liner. And yet people expect a woman to wear make-up – because that’s what a woman’s supposed to do. A woman’s supposed to be pretty. If she isn’t/doesn’t wear make-up, she “doesn’t care about herself” and “isn’t interested in looking good”. Brands sell stuff to make you “shine bright like a diamond”, give us the “fake lashes look” and plump up our lips to be “kissable”. Celebrities post their #wokeuplikethis pics on Instagram and simply “forget” to mention the one-hour routine with their make-up artists before posting a selfie with the hashtag #nomakeup (but hey: it’s really not that easy to achieve a natural-looking make-up, it’s even harder to do than smoky eyes!). But why lie to us? Lie to ourselves? Because women need to look pretty?

With today’s post I want to contribute to the real #nomakeup thing – because I like myself like this. I go out like this and I love my face without make-up (as much as I love the routine of putting on all these products and seeing the final result – it’s just so fascinating!). This is me at my purest.
