EN

I’m really overwhelmed – this outfit is my most-liked outfit ever on Instagram (at least the little preview of it)! I have to admit that it’s definitely one of my favorite outfits too. :) I’ve already worn this jumpsuit a few times – and it is a great companion for evening events. Just like last Thursday at the “Cabaret” fashion show by Maite Kelly for bonprix here in Hamburg. I wanted to match my outfit to the motto of the evening and created kind of a ringmaster look with my red Pucci jacket (isn’t it great – this has definitely been my best TK Maxx bargain!). :)

For the shooting (which we already had the weekend before) I chose some sunglasses with golden frames that perfectly go with the accessories – somehow, I don’t care about others mixing silver and gold, but for myself I prefer only using one color. :) My hair got a new styling (it’s fascinating how much I like to try new things with my short hair!) and as the outfit is already the center of attention, my make-up is very simple.

Outfit ♥ #MyCarmakomaJeans (+ Giveaway) [CLOSED]

Kimono: Sonia Rykiel for H&M (2010)
Bustier: H&M
Jeans:
Carmakoma Jeans “Kadina Pants” (also available → here)
Heels:
Nelly “Linda”
Earrings: Dior “Mise en Dior” Tribal Earrings
Alternatives: ASOS kimono, ASOS petite exclusive bustier, Ginger Fizz bustier, ASOS heels

So what?! ;)

Was ihr dafür tun müsst?

ENWhen Carmakoma asked me to be one of their #MyCarmakomaJeans ambassadors, I happily said yes! Carmakoma is one of the coolest plus-size labels and I really enjoy being part of their campaign with my blog. :) I picked their “Kadina Pants” for my outfit. Actually, they’re not really jeans – because of their jogging pants cut and the fabric which is soft and comfy and definitely not denim. It kind of was a little challenge for me to style them but I instantly had this particular idea in mind: cropped. It’s the → second time I show you my belly on the blog and it’s still not that horrible as many think. ;)

I posted a little preview of this look on Instagram, and the feedback was very positive – but the adjective “brave” came up a little too often. I think that it’s very important to show such outfits as a fat girl – I’m absolutely allowed to wear crop tops, too! But when people call it brave, there’s kind of a negative touch to it, like telling me that actually, I shouldn’t be wearing this because I’m fat. We have to get rid of this “actually”. We – that’s not only us fat people, who have it drummed into us that we should cover up, but also everyone who’s making us think like that, willfully or not. Being a blogger sure makes me a little more brave and open to experiments than the average plus-size woman out there. I like being inspired by current trends, sometimes only wearing some outfits for pictures and in principle, I’m a pretty extroverted person who’s not willing to hide just because I’m not society’s ideal of perfection. Plus, I’m fat but my skin is absolutely okay (and believe me when I tell you that these pants are just perfect as they’re hiding my stretch marks and the pump catheter underneath – it’s no problem for me when you can see both when I’m → wearing a bikini, but for an outfit I prefer them not to be seen). There are no fat rolls which would probably be anyone’s k.o. criterion (together with the belly button – people just don’t like to see it).
But as I always keep saying: why should I be swayed by what others could think is ugly? If I want to wear a crop top, I will wear a crop top. Period. Without worrying about others who might look at me in a bad way (this will happen anyways as we always like to look at others if something’s just not as we’d do or wear it ourselves). Without worrying about offending someone’s opinion on beauty. Without worrying about others insulting me (and seriously: people who come to you just to insult you because of your body are extremely poor beings!).
By the way: people looked at me while wearing this outfit – I even entertained a whole kindergarten playing outside. So what?! ;)

Always remember: → #everyBODYisperfect – you too.

Outfit ♥ Culottes – II

Jacket: Love Moschino (via TK Maxx)
Top: H&M
Culottes:
Manon Baptiste (via navabi)
Belt: Ted Baker “Julo”
Mules: Steffen Schraut (via TK Maxx)
Sunglasses:
Dolce & Gabbana “Sicilian Baroque”
Bracelet: Sal y Limon
Alternatives: ASOS culottes, Vero Moda culottes, River Island belt, Unisa mules, bagatt mules

ENI’m already following up with my second culottes look – this time, it’s a little bit more spring-like and to be honest, my favorite of the two outfits. :) I wore the culottes a bit more high-waisted and added a belt. I really like the look of it because it’s a little bit more special. :)
Since I found some nice things at TK Maxx, I became an addict and you can find me at the store almost every Saturday, playing truffle pig and searching for little highlights. ;) Today’s TK Maxx pieces in this outfit are the jacket and the mules. :)

ENTalking about new experiments, today it’s time for a current trend: culottes. Mine had to be shortened (in order to have the intended length) as I’m a Human McNugget (read this some time ago and thought that it was pretty funny!). What I really like about this kind of trousers is that depending on how you’re moving, they even look like a (midi) skirt. They’re very versatile and for → my latest “Style Council” article I went for a more romantic combination with pink. We already shot a second look with the culottes, so stay tuned! I’m curious to know what you think about these very special trousers!
