Today’s outfit has a funny story behind the look – cause these aren’t my own clothes! :)

I’ve been following Katharina for a long time and always swooning over her photos, she’s an amazing photographer from Koblenz and when I was in Düsseldorf a few weeks ago, we managed to do a super quick shoot together before I had to leave for the airport. I’m incredibly happy that we finally met and had the chance to take some pictures!

Since my wardrobe is still very limited, she brought some of her own clothes so we could do one very different look. I mean: especially that jacket is something I’d never buy on my own cause I’d believe that it’s not my style but I actually love it! Especially in combination with that lovely dress!

You see: sometimes, it’s cool to let someone else dress you up (or at least get some different ideas from a friend or so) and give new things a chance. ;)

There are posts that aren’t written as easily as you’d think. Today’s post is one of them. I’m still not ready to tell you exactly what happened cause it’s a long and disturbing story and I will need some time to find the right words for it. I just feel like right now, I’m finally ready to write down that I’m single again.

It’s hard to read these words after such a long time in a relationship, after a marriage that didn’t even last three years, but I’m already at a point where I survived the hardest part and feel confident enough to share these news with you.

Being single again at 27 comes definitely unexpected. It’s weird and it’s not fun and I wish I wasn’t, because I’m clearly a person who doesn’t like to spend her time alone. Yet, I’m learning to be alone and I’m also learning how to be my own person of trust. As you can imagine, the separation led me to start the therapy of which I already told you in June. This was an important step of my evolution. As I told you, I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety for a long time and something as horrible as what happened now definitely put me in the worst state one can be.

Even though I’m not completely ready yet to take you with me on this story of my new journey, my new start, I feel like I’m on a good way and the path is leading me to a better version of myself. Even though I hate being alone (which I’m actually not, cause I’m living with my parents right now and I feel safe and loved), I’m pretty sure that all this is a good thing for me – it’s giving me a new chance to get to know myself and evolve from depression and too much fear to a strong and independent woman – and I’m already making a lot of new steps.

Here it is, the last look of this year’s → #BeachBodyNotSorry project. I’m very sorry and actually pretty sad that I couldn’t provide more different photos and styles but due to my current situation (no beaches, no actual photographer, plus: I was too sad during the summer months) this is all I could do. Now, it’s getting too cold for beach looks but as we all know: next year there’ll be a new summer season and I’m looking forward to new chances and new styles for my most favorite project of the year. :)

Since it’s already pretty cold and also a little bit weird to pose just in a swimsuit on the middle of the street in a small village, I decided to create a pool party look by adding a long kimono and high heels.

This swimsuit might be one of my absolute favorites. I love the print which is kind of watercolor-like. I also love the cut and the fit – even though this is a piece from H&M’s regular collection and “only” EU size 42. Sometimes, it’s worth a try to go for smaller sizes, especially because swimwear is very elastic. Of course, it shouldn’t cut into your skin but I’ve learned that swimwear does not always have to be chosen in your regular size. So that’s just a tip from my side. ;)

This fall, I’m starting a new collaboration with C&A – I can’t wait to show you the whole exciting project which was shot and filmed in Düsseldorf at the end of August. It’s super cool and I’m incredibly proud to be a part of it! I’ll tell you more about it all in an extra blog post as soon as I receive the pictures and videos! :)

I’ll also be showing you a few looks from their plus-size collection through fall and winter and I hope you’re going to love it as much as I do. These looks will definitely be a little bit more casual than usual, since fall and winter are very cozy and comfy and I’m pretty sure you’ll like to see some everyday options, right?

Today, I’m starting with a casual chic style with lots of blue. It’s kind of unusual to see me wearing regular jeans since I usually go for skinny jeans but I like the loose style in combination with the long cardigan and the tunic, which I tucked into the pants cause it would’ve been to much of that “layering style” and therefore not very flattering – even though many people will tell fat women that this is the best way to “conceal” your body, but truth is: you’ll look just way bigger than you are if you just layer loose and mostly oversized shapes! Your body will get lost and hidden and you’ll just look like a sack of clothes. So here’s my tip: there’s nothing wrong with showing your waistline and this is easy to do when wearing pants under a cardi – just tuck your shirt into the pants. I know many are scared to show their belly outline but there’s no need to hide it. It’s just a belly! :)
