Almost dark and super rainy – best conditions for a shoot, right? Ha, well, somehow we managed to take the photos despite the bad circumstances and I actually like the grainy look of them…

This is the second look I found at C&A during my shopping day event. The dress is absolutely fab and I loved it from the moment I first saw it. The cardi is also a love-at-first-sight piece – especially because of the color. I definitely love that shade of rust and it goes perfectly with the dark blue.

Overknees are a major thing every fall/winter and → last year, I bought a pair at H&M which has a higher (block) heel. This year, I found these at C&A and love them even more, especially because they’re not that high and still kind of sexy. Still, I must say that I haven’t found THE perfect overknees yet, even though these reach 90%. I haven’t found overknee boots that don’t keep rolling down my knees. I guess that’s somehow a fabric (both of my boots are very soft and elastic) and big-thighs problem. Maybe I need to find some that are firmer. Until then, these are absolutely amazing, I really love them!

When I styled my look in-store, I also wore the hat I’ve already shown you in → my first look, but I decided to wear it without this time – both look great, as you can → see here on Instagram. ;)

Seems like this is my first fall look of the year (even though I still hope that the sun won’t be gone as soon as expected so I can still wear a handful of summer outfits I couldn’t wear when I was sick in bed…)! And I wore it for a great occasion! As you all know, I was in Milan from Friday to Saturday last week with Marina Rinaldi for a special event. The capsule collection in cooperation with Stella Jean was presented on Friday evening and I was invited to come and have a look together with → Callie Thorpe and → Hayley Hasselhoff. But first, we had a delicious lunch and visited Marina Rinaldi’s flagship store in the heart of Milan for a styling session. It was super fun to try on a few of their stylist’s suggestions at the store and pick out some favorite pieces like the dress I’m showing you today (and which is part of the current collaboration with Tsumori Chisato). I guess we’ll receive the photos soon and I will show them to you in one of my next posts.

In the evening we finally got to see the presentation, which was absolutely stunning. The location was as artful as the collection and definitely the highlight of the day. Afterwards we had the most delicious Italian dinner at LARTE with the Marina Rinaldi team – the day was amazing and I really want to say thanks to everyone again. It was a pleasure to spend the day with you. ♥

The outfit I chose for the day is kind of casual chic and has this cool twist with the socks. I know they’re not everyone’s favorite, as I already found out on my social media channels, but I think that they’re exactly what makes the outfit an outfit. Of course, the look is nice without socks too – but with socks, it’s my kind of fashion. ;) It was fun to wear this look in Milan, I also had the feeling that I was photographed a few times on the streets and at the event, and yes, this makes me kind of proud. ;) It was also super exciting to see this absolutely fashionable city during Fashion Week. So many stylish people walking around – I kind of miss this here in Germany. We totally need a bit of that “Dolce Vita” feeling. ;)

Another one with my beloved “Modern Love” jumpsuit by Beth Ditto. I can’t stop saying how much I adore this overall – it’s one of the most comfiest pieces I own and it’s also super versatile.

I’ve already shown you two ways to wear it with a jacket and today it’s time to show it without something over it – just the jumpsuit and some basic accessories to accompany the special make-up. I wore this in Berlin at Zizzi’s Fashion Week event for their → collection preview and a lovely rooftop BBQ afterwards at the → Hotel de Rome and it was a great choice for that super sunny and relaxed evening. I wanted to wear something basic yet fashionable but make it a statement by doing an extravagant make-up. I went for a peacock style and used some stunning shades of → Urban Decay’s “XX Vice LTD Reloaded” palette – I can definitely recommend the palette for colorful looks, it’s simply perfect!

Dress: Remi Ray

Choker: Jennifer Fisher

Today’s post is an editorial – don’t worry, I know it’s not a look for every day, even though you can make it work for you whenever you want to wear it. ;)

I posted the preview of this outfit on → Instagram and → Facebook a few weeks ago and the feedback went from “horrible” to “slay”, and of course I knew that people would either love or completely hate this look. I for myself – and as a huge fan of Remi’s creations (as you can also see → here) because she’s not afraid to dare do the different and special! – instantly fell in love with her sheer mesh dress because on the one hand this is something very different and on the other hand (even though I saw that unfortunately many were so narrow-minded not to think so far) it’s super versatile. Because you don’t need to wear it like this, only with a bikini underneath – what about wearing it with a black or colorful tight dress under it? Why not combine it with something in your own skin color underneath, be it underwear or another dress? Or maybe you’d like to wear it as a top for a kinky style paired with a casual skirt? There are so many possibilities, so many options to wear this sheer dress and even if I went for a super daring and more or less half-naked look, which I’d even wear like this for a special event (maybe a true fashion event in one of the major fashion cities, where fashion actually means fashion, like London or New York), you can be as creative as you want and wear this dress however you like it.

See what I mean? It’s not about going crazy because of my styling, it’s about opening your minds, making the next step and thinking further. A sheer dress doesn’t have to be the ugliest thing you’ve ever seen (even though it’s absolutely okay if you hate it – I mean, nobody has to love it, right?) and if you want to wear it, wear it. Please never let others stop you from doing it. That’s the message I want to spread today. I wanted to wear this dress, I love it, many hate it, others shared my feeling, and today I’m proud to show this special look to you, even though I’m pretty sure that many won’t love it as much as I do. I’ll still wear it. :)
Of course, as always, I’ll give my best to show you more looks with this dress, just give me some time (and at the moment, even though this is a light fabric, long sleeves aren’t the best choice, but I’ll be back with this one soon!). ;) I also got a completely different idea in my mind, but the piece I need for it keeps being sold out…
