I must admit that it’s already a bit too cold for this look – at least, the sun was shining when we took these pictures, but now there’s mostly rain and cloudy weather. Typical fall in Germany, I’d say… I guess I’ll have to do another take on this look, maybe with boots and less boobs (time for a turtleneck sweater now!). ;) But for now, I thought that this body was just perfect together with the skirt my mom made for me. It’s a very light rosé-beige and – like → this body – not easy to wear with a bra underneath. That’s why I skipped the bra again but wore a Spanx body suit which at least supports the bust from the sides. :)

I wish you all a lovely new week – I’ll have to relax a bit after last week’s crazy times at the Plus Size Fashion Days. So many amazing moments! I’ll tell you more about the event as soon as I get the photos (and the video, can’t wait to see it!). On Friday, you’ll get to see the outfit I wore at the opening party – dress code: “Black & Gold and All That Glitters”! Maybe some inspiration for Christmas and New Year’s Eve! ;)

It’s finally looking like fall on the blog, right? :) Today’s look is a tribute to my mom, who created it. The shirt and skirt are hand-sewn by her and I truly love them together (you already know the shirt, just have a look at the “style it differently” section at the end of this post!), they’re a perfect match.

Since I finally own a brown bag (yup, it was about time!), I went for a warm and soft look, adding brown details and beige shoes (matching the lipstick). Of course, black would’ve been a good choice, as always, but I think that it all harmonizes best with brown. More fall-like. ;)

I think this could be a good business look too, maybe with opaque tights and pumps instead of the platform sandals. You can also add a tailored blazer and you’re ready for your next meeting at work – and you’ll still look very feminine.
I get asked a lot to post more business styles, but since I don’t have a classic job and no experience with these kinds of outfits, I’m definitely not the best source for that. Also, I truly love experimental and extravagant looks – so please forgive me if they’re not always the go-to choice for everyday looks and office-job styles. ;) I want to share my own style, which is something different, I know, but maybe from time to time, there’s also some inspiration for a business look – just like today. ;)

Today’s post title is about the weather when we shot this look – it looked super lovely when we arrived at the location, the sun was shining and it was warm and just a bit windy (like every day in Hamburg), but suddenly the sky turned very, very dark – you can see it in the video! – and we had to hurry. The moment we finished, it started to rain cats and dogs – talk about timing, huh? ;)

Isn’t it funny that just a few days ago, a friend asked me if it’s possible to wear flat sandals with maxi skirts? I think this is the perfect answer! ;) Of course you can wear flats when you wear maxi pieces. It’s certainly true that they won’t make you look taller, but if you’re as short as I am, it doesn’t even matter. Actually, it never matters, as long as you feel good in what you’re wearing – right? And let’s be honest: flats are always more comfy, so they’re always a good choice. ;)

ENThis year is almost over – and this is my last outfit for 2014. And I had to brave the cold for it (fortunately, the sun was wonderfully warm!), but the outfits just look way better without a coat. So please don’t think that this was my outfit for a walk through the park – I managed for a few minutes to take the photos but immediately slipped into my coat afterwards. ;)

You know this blouse from → this outfit, back then it wasn’t lined yet. Now it’s really finished and I just love it! I think my Mom has never sown anything more beautiful and this perfect, it’s definitely her masterpiece. :) And since I already showed you the blouse in a somewhat more sophisticated combination, today’s look is more casual with jeans.

As every year, I’ll start working on my end-of-year review now, which is really worth it for 2014! So much happened! I’m already looking forward to look back on the past year. :)
