I’m a huge “American Horror Story” fan – currently watching season 5 (“Hotel” – and Lady Gaga really deserved that Golden Globe for her role as “The Countess”!) and I love it! My favorite season is “Freak Show” and I’m probably the biggest fan of Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars. These days I was actually pretty sad about the death of David Bowie because I fell in love with → Jessica’s performance of “Heroes” – and the song itself –  on the show.
But for this outfit, I chose season 3, “Coven”, the one about the witches, all dressed up in black for important occasions and looking pretty rad. I kind of mixed the style of the series with that of another one called “Scream Queens”, which, to be honest, I’ve not watched yet but seen a few pictures and kind of liked the styling (that’s where the fuzzy jacket of my look came from). :)

So that’s how my “AHS: Coven meets Scream Queens” look was born. I’m wearing a basic flared dress paired with my Chewbacca (let’s bring in a little Star Wars too!) jacket and overknee boots. For that special touch (you already know I like to make all-black looks more special with an extra something), I finally wore a head wrap again (it’s a huge vintage silk scarf from my mother), my red Gucci bag (with a shortened strap) and added shiny silver details – the belt and my favorite sunnies.
Yes, that’s a very extravagant outfit – and that’s why I love it even more. :) Some time ago I read this quote on Insta: “Dress like you’re already famous!” – my motto for 2016 and the future. :) There’s no reason to hesitate about dressing up whenever I feel like it, and it just reinforces my words from 2015 even more: wear whatever you want, whenever you want!

It’s been some time since I showed you one of my TK Maxx finds – this sweater is one of them and I found it last year. I don’t know, it kind of reminds me of the 80s, somehow a little bit trashy, but I instantly fell in love with the neon flower print and especially the sheer dotted neckline.
I wanted to combine the bright neon yellow and green with black so they pop out even more. Plus that little special highlight: neon pink lipstick. :)

Merry Christmas, everyone! :) I hope you’re spending the best quality time with your family and loved ones – and got everything you wished for. ;)
These days, I realized once again that health is the most precious thing we have, since I’ve been sick in bed with a pretty bad cold for a week already and spent yesterday mostly in bed – but at least not alone, and even though it wasn’t very Christmassy up here, I made some delicious Christmas dinner and enjoyed the evening with my husband and cat on the couch watching “The Last Unicorn” – and now I’m writing this blog post. Because there’s still a few posts coming! ;) I missed my Wednesday post since this was the worst day of the week for me, but it will be online next week (little teaser: it’s going to be about my 15 favorites in 2015!), promise!

Today, I’ve got another fall outfit, but as our winter is more like fall this year, I guess it’s okay to post it. And maybe it’s a good idea for a holiday look! Chic but still very comfy, perfect for Christmas lunch or dinner with your family and friends, at home or out – you can’t go wrong with this dress. :)

Sending you all lots of love, peace, happiness and – of course – health! ♥

“Whoa, that’s heavy!” – my first thought when I received the package. This dress is completely covered in sequins, all-over and multi-layered. If I had to guess, I’d say it probably weighs about 4 kg.

When I first saw the dress in a preview from → Felicity Hayward, I knew I’d do anything to put my hands on it. But it wasn’t available yet and so I spent some time waiting until it finally went online – but my size was sold out. For about five days, I updated the page probably every hour (now that I read it, I sound pretty crazy!) until I finally got it late at night. Just to see it available in the ASOS Curve section (and available in all sizes without any problems) on the same day I finally received it. Talk about timing, huh?

Since this dress is already a huge show-stealer, I went for classic black heels and not many accessories. I decided to create a lilac and purple make-up with falsies just to bring in some color and ended up adding even more color (blocking) with my chartreuse-colored clutch. A bit more interesting than just sticking to the common black stuff – you know, everyone can do that, so why not stand out and be special? ;)
