I decided to start a new category on the blog which I want to call “One Night in…” – because as a blogger, I get to sleep at beautiful hotels from time to time , but there’s not enough time for a full “review”. Normally, I only get to see my room and sometimes, thanks to the events, a suite or conference room – but not the whole house including its restaurants, spas, etc. So today I want to start with the “Hotel de Rome” in Berlin and share a few impressions with you.
Thanks to Urban Decay, I had the chance to spend one night at this beautiful hotel and enjoy this great room and also have a look at one of their suites, including a great terrace with a beautiful view over Berlin.

DEEigentlich passt das Outfit ja nicht mehr ganz so zum Frühlingswetter – geshootet haben wir das auch vor einer Weile (übrigens in Berlin), aber ungebloggt soll es natürlich nicht bleiben. Und auch wenn gestern schönster Sonnenschein in Hamburg war, war es doch noch ganz schön frisch – perfekt also für einen Trenchcoat-Look – auch wenn wir natürlich ein paar frühlingshaftere Outfits fotografiert haben. ;)

Eine “Pullover über der Bluse”-Kombi hatte ich ja → neulich schon gezeigt – heute aber mal weniger kleidähnlich, sondern wirklich mit einem richtigen Pulli. Ich glaube, es liegt tatsächlich an den kurzen Haaren, dass mir solche Looks jetzt besser gefallen. Vieles hat sich mit der Frisur ein bisschen geändert, zum Beispiel merke ich auch, dass ich auf große Ohrringe verzichte (obwohl sie dabei eigentlich besonders gut zur Geltung kommen, finde ich das irgendwie mit einem Zopf oder einer Hochsteckfrisur schöner – sogar mit langen, offenen Haaren). Neue Frisur, neuer Style – irgendwie stimmt das. Und ich bin ganz froh, mit den kurzen Haaren auch wieder etwas probierfreudiger zu sein. Trotzdem will ich aber meinem Stil treu bleiben und nicht ganz so aus der Reihe tanzen. Was ich aber sagen muss: seit ich Jeans wieder für mich entdeckt habe, habe ich irgendwie das Gefühl, mich mal wieder mehr mit Oberteilen einzudecken – und das, obwohl ich ein riesiger Kleiderfan bin! Mal sehen, was da noch so kommt! ;)

ENActually, this outfit is not very spring-like. Maybe because we already shot it a while ago. Still, this has to be shown, right? And even though the weather here in Hamburg was beautiful and sunny, it’s still pretty chilly outside – perfect for a trench coat look. Of course, we’re already shooting some spring outfits – so stay tuned! ;)
Today, I have to talk about that short hair phenomenon: I somehow seem to be more keen to experiment new things, which I didn’t like when I had longer hair. This includes even my choice when it comes to earrings. I always loved wearing statement pieces, now I prefer my beloved pearls from Dior (even though short hair is perfect for showing off huge earrings, I like them better with a braid or an updo). And while I’m a huge fan of dresses, I kind of want to go shopping for some new shirts which I can wear with my new jeans addiction. I can’t wait what’s coming next and what I’m going to try out! :)

DEJaaaa, da ist er endlich – der Schnee. :) Bisher war der Winter hier in Hamburg ja eher dürftig, mehr nass und herbstlich als weiß und winterlich. Am Wochenende war es dann aber endlich soweit und ich hab’ mich über die weißen Flocken sehr gefreut. Auch wenn Schnee immer Chaos bedeutet, ist er ja optisch schon ein kleines Highlight und ich bin gespannt, ob wir ihn nochmal etwas länger zu Gesicht bekommen werden als nur für zwei Tage (heimlich, still und leise bin ich ja doch ein kleine Fan davon, auch wenn mir blogoutfittechnisch wärmeres Wetter doch ein bisschen lieber ist – lässt sich einfach leichter fotografieren, aber dafür ist das doch heute wirklich ein toller Fotoeffekt, oder?).

Aus Berlin habe ich von Zizzi diesen hellblauen Midirock mitgebracht und hatte auch direkt eine Kombi mit Gelb im Kopf. Meine Chewbacca-Jacke kam erst dank des Wetters spontan dazu und um aus dem eigentlich doch sehr frühlingshaften Look etwas Wintertaugliches zu machen, habe ich mich für den Hut (ganz praktisch, um den Schnee dann nicht im Gesicht zu haben) und Schnürboots entschieden. :)

ENThere it is, finally – snow! :) Until now, winter in Hamburg hasn’t been very wintery, but on the weekend I had the pleasure to shoot outside with these wonderful white flakes. :) Even though snow always means a lot of chaos, I really adore the view of white landscapes – and it makes a great scenery for pictures, right? ;)

In Berlin, I got this light-blue midi skirt from Zizzi. I had to combine it with yellow! Thanks to the weather, I went for my fuzzy Chewbacca coat and in order to make this actually very spring-like look more wintery, I wore a hat (good for keeping your face snow-free!) and lace-up boots. :)

DELetzte Woche war es mal wieder Zeit für die Fashion Week in Berlin – aus dem Trubel halte ich mich raus (und die einzige Show, die ich besuchen wollte, nämlich minx, konnte ich dann doch nicht sehen), aber auf der – wie ich sie immer liebevoll nenne – Moppelmesse habe ich doch vorbeigeschaut. Wenn auch nur recht kurz, da ich leider an allen Tagen mit Migräne zu kämpfen hatte.

Ein paar Eindrücke habe ich aber bekommen, einen tollen Abend mit Zizzi verbracht (und oh – da kommen wieder wunderbare Teile, inklusive einer ganz neuen “Black Label”-Range!), mich in einige tolle Mäntel verliebt (ganz vorn dabei zwei Capes, eins von persona by Marina Rinaldi, eins von SEELER) und mich natürlich über viele wunderschöne Frauen gefreut. :)
Leider habe ich wegen der Migräne viel zu viel verpasst, konnte nicht alle Aussteller besuchen und mich wegen der eingeschränkten Zeit auch nicht genug auf alles konzentrieren, daher bleibt für diese Saison ein detaillierter Bericht von mir aus – ich hoffe, ihr seht es mir nach. Im Sommer klappt es hoffentlich besser!

Trotzdem habe ich mir für den Tag natürlich ein besonderes Outfit überlegt und auch wenn ich eigentlich auf mehr Farbe setzen wollte (auf einer Veranstaltung für Plus Size ist Schwarz so krass omnipräsent, dass ich eigentlich zeigen wollte, dass es auch anders geht), wurde es am Ende einer meiner typischen “All Black”-Looks, aber mit ein paar besonderen Details: da wäre nämlich direkt nochmal ein Mustermix (Python und Hahnentritt), etwas derbere Boots zum Kleid (bei mir ja eigentlich eine absolute Seltenheit!) und natürlich die Strümpfe, bei denen man zwei Mal hinsehen muss, was da überhaupt draufsteht (ein bisschen unanständig!). ;)

ENLast week was Fashion Week in Berlin – I did not visit the tent but the Plus Size fair and had the chance (even though there was too little time for me because I had some very bad migraine – so stay tuned for next season in summer) to get some impressions, I spent a great evening with Zizzi (and there’s coming up some wonderful stuff, including a brand new “Black Label” range), fell in love with many gorgeous coats (especially two capes, one from persona by Marina Rinaldi and one from SEELER) and had a good time with wonderful ladies. :)

Of course I came up with a little more special outfit for this day and even though I wanted to wear color (Plus Size events always mean so much black), I ended up with one of my typical “all black” looks, but with some little details: pattern mix with python and houndstooth, a little rougher boots in combination with a dress (and that’s an absolute rarity when it comes to my outfits!) and, of course, the stockings, at which you have to look twice to see what’s written on them (a little bit naughty!). ;)
