Hands up – who loves cupcakes as much as I do? :) I’m so thankful we got to shoot a comfy outfit in Ansbach’s lovliest café and cupcake shop, “Danys Cupcakery” (Kronenstraße 2a). Only cruel fact: it was closed on that Monday when we had our photo shoot so I couldn’t try Dany’s famous cupcakes, but that was kind of helpful so we had the whole store for us. I’m pretty sure that if Dany had opened her store on that day, we would have had no place to shoot plus you could have found me behind dozens of cupcakes and not take a good picture at all (cause I look pretty weird eating on photos, → here’s an example of me eating a cookie). I’m definitely coming back to try all of them, okay Dany? :)

So, this cute and cozy location called for a matching outfit – and there’s nothing better than some light pink, right? When I saw this sweater, it was love at first sight. I haven’t been much fond of those ruffles sleeves before but these are so amazing (even though they’re not super practical, especially when you want to wear a jacket, but the sweater is pretty warm so you probably won’t need a cardi or coat). It is actually from Ted Baker’s lounge wear collection and therefore supposed to be worn at home (who the hell would wear something like that at home? I wear my pajamas all day at home, haha!) and to be honest, I found it kind of hard to combine for myself. It wouldn’t look good with jeans, with black pants, with anything, except these cashmere pants (which are about three sizes too large but nevermind ;)). And since it has kind of a boxy cut, I needed to wear it tucked into my pants. That was the only way to make it look perfect for myself. But I’ll keep trying. There are actually matching pants from Ted Baker, but I’m sure my huge bottom won’t fit into it so I didn’t even try and order them. :D I have to see if there’s a way to style it with a skirt, so I can show you a different look with this beauty.

I asked myself: “What if I was invited to a ‘real’ Fashion Week? What would I wear?” – Paris, New York, Milano,… many options and one answer: this. Not much time ago, one of my favorite fashion bloggers, → Thássia Naves, posted an outfit wearing this cashmere collar from COS, which is actually made to be worn under a top/shirt/sweater/whatever. That’s what I love about fashion: why not change the rules and make your own? She wore it over a shirt and it inspired me to style my own look wearing the collar like this.

It was also about time I got a pair of overknee boots. The last few winters, I didn’t care about buying them, but this time they were just perfect to complete my look. I’m wearing my boots a bit “ruffled” because I like it a bit better than wearing them totally straight. They keep slipping anyways, so I can’t even do anything else. ;)

Blue, black and white – what else is better than combining these colors with some silver details in form of jewelry and bag hardwear. I’m definitely more of a silver person, gold doesn’t match my skin tone that well, so luckily this was just the right choice for completing my look. What do you say? Ready for a Fashion Week? Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to show off my look in one of the big fashion cities one day… ;)

Sometimes it has to be extra-girly – that’s just what I thought when persona by Marina Rinaldi surprised me with this shirt. I’ve been positing many rather unusual looks the last few weeks (and I love it!) and there’s been a lot of swimwear, so why not try something classy and elegant again? :) My petticoat skirt is one of my favorites in my closet, but unfortunately it never had a great cut because of the non-stretchy fabric at the waist. But somehow I always managed to wear it without any problems (like → here, → here and → here). ;)

So today’s look is a little more sophisticated and somehow ladylike, but still fun and girly thanks to the skirt and playful details like the belt and the pink lipstick. ;)
