Here we go – time for the first “real” outfit of the new year! I’ve saved this dress for a special post because it’s so amazing! When the Kenzo x H&M collection was launched, I was pretty sad that there were only the usual “small” sizes available – but there were a few oversized pieces which could definitely been bought and worn by plus-sized women. Like this dress! This is a EU size 40 and still huge enough for me to wear it like it’s supposed to be worn – oversized. It’s also my favorite print of the collection and I love the combination with black.

While I usually love wearing figure-hugging clothes or add a belt to make them look like it, this time, I felt like wearing a belt would ruin the whole look (even though it’s kind of cool too), so I went for the original style and yes, I love it. I feel like as a plus-sized woman people will keep saying that wearing something oversized isn’t flattering, while they’ll also scream when you can see my body (happens all the time…). So there’s no way to please everyone – and it shouldn’t be your primary mission when dressing. So here’s a resolution for the new year: if you like it – wear it. Nothing new on this blog, but I feel like I can’t say it often enough – and I want you all to promise me that you’ll stick to this resolution! Stop wearing stuff recommended by people who don’t even know you (uh, magazines – forget them!) just to please them. Stop wearing stuff that you think will make people stop thinking badly of you when you don’t even like the clothes. If you feel like wearing something that draws attention to you – wear it! If you feel like wearing something oversized that will make you look huge – wear it! If you feel like wearing something that will show every little chubby part of your body – wear it! It’s your choice – never forget this! ♥

Christmas is coming! Time for a shiny yet casual look which you can wear for almost every occasion! Less isn’t always more, that’s why I’ve decided to do a glitter all over look for today’s outfit. :)

When I first saw the skirt at the Plus Size Fashion Days, I knew I had to buy it. I’m usually not so much of a glitter girl, but sometimes (especially during the holidays) I somehow turn into someone who needs a bit of sparkling clothes. ;) Well, this time I totally exaggerated – but I love it. :)

I’m so happy to see that → Scarlett & Jo is doing some tops at the moment. They’ve added this → gorgeous lurex tunic to their collection, together with a few simpler tops but also this → utterly beautiful kimono (NEEEEED!). I’ve already received many compliments for this sparkling top and I can definitely recommend it to you, it’s simply perfect – and also looks great with jeans! ;) I’m wearing a UK size 14 (EU size 42), which means a size smaller than usual because it’s just a top, and it fits just right!

Of course I had to do a matching make-up and kind of felt old-school because years ago I was only doing colorful make-ups and now I prefer natural looks, even though I love colors on my eyes. I truly adore these pink and purple shades and they compliment the outfit as best as possible. I even added some loose silver glitter to my lids because here, too, it just couldn’t be enough glitter… ;)

For that special casual touch (and because it was horribly cold and windy when we shot these pictures, even though the sun almost blinded me!), I wore a super chunky knit cardi (one of my best buys ever some years ago).

I’m starting pretty early with festive styles, but it’s actually never too early to look festive, right? :) This was a look I had planned to wear in Russia for the evening, but since I had to stay at home, it had to wait until we finally shot it. No real occasion for it yet, but I hope that there’ll be a winter event where I can go out like this. ;)

This dress is part of Scarlett & Jo’s “Couture” range – the dresses are even more elegant and the quality is absolutely impeccable (the fabrics are even more high-quality, which you can especially see and feel when you get this dress in your hands!). The styles are perfect for evening occasions, special parties and events that require a certain dress code, and I can totally recommend getting yourself at least one of them, maybe for the next Christmas party at work or a super festive dinner with your family. The fit is perfect as usual, I’m wearing my normal UK size 16 and it fits like a glove – and creates the most stunning cleavage I’ve ever seen. If you still need a not-so-little black dress, you should try this one for sure!

Today, I’m starting with another lookbook I created for Anna Scholz for sheego. The latest collection is already available and if you like what you see, you can get it at sheego. ;)

My first look is a very casual look, perfect for fall, easy to wear and very comfy. The → blouse dress is actually my favorite of the collection, maybe because it’s so simple yet super cool and awesome. The sleeves have side slits, so it isn’t that simple after all – plus this is kind of an Anna signature look as we’ve already seen side slits on a few of her pieces (for example on → this dress from last season).
I could also imagine wearing it with a knit cardi or a vest and overknee boots when it’s colder. This dress is definitely a basic and great investment for your capsule wardrobe. ;)

I decided to leave this look all black and just add a bit of dusky rose and berry – with the bag and my lipstick. Totally enough. ;)
