I really appreciate a great sushi delivery service. And unfortunately, to be honest, this one is not the one for me yet because we had to get the box ourselves. That’s because they’re located in the south and our home is not in their delivery area. Of course, takeaway is also a good option, since I actually prefer eating casually at home, watching my current favorite series and not having to look like I was ready for the red carpet (oh, the drama!), but this means I’m still searching for the sushi delivery service of my dreams.
By now, we’ve tried a lot but usually end up picking up our food ourselves because our favorite restaurants either have no delivery service (Sushi Lô) or it’s just way too expensive (Raw like Sushi) and in the end cheaper to just drive there and get it. Sounds pretty pragmatic but that’s us – living the casual way. ;)

Last year, we tried one of Steffen Henssler’s restaurants here in Hamburg – the sushi restaurant “Ono” (which actually needs a review up here, guess next time I’ll have to take a few pictures!). The second one is “Henssler & Henssler” and nearby the new delivery service “restaurant” (it’s not an actual restaurant, just a reception and the kitchen). I actually wanted to get my food driven up here to my door, but unfortunately they don’t serve all of Hamburg yet. Normally, we wouldn’t drive so far to get our sushi, but I was way too curious, so we made an exception. You can actually pre-order your food for takeaway on their website, but that didn’t work – so we made a call (and had to wait quite a bit – actually, the service is good but veeeery slow, so don’t try to hurry!) and ordered by phone. And this is what we got…

Today, I want to share a few pictures of this year’s → Plus Size Fashion Days here in Hamburg with you. It’s been a crazy and incredible time, a (hopefully not really) once-in-a-lifetime experience and so much fun! Tanja, the founder of our German PSFDays asked me if I wanted to be a part of it, to be one of the models on the runway, and I didn’t hesitate one second and said yes. Being part of this body positive and especially size diversity project is an honor and seriously: I really wanted to be a model at least for one day – because I’m actually way too small to do it professionally (so sad about this!).

Of course, there’s lots of work and training behind the whole show, we started on Thursday with the fittings and I was chosen to walk for Manou Lenz, Happy Size and Beautiful Curves. I was extremely happy with my outfits, two beautiful dresses, color and the prettiest hot pink lingerie for my last walk. Yup, you’re reading right: lingerie. Underwear. Half-naked. Me. Let me say: my whole body was shaking, my heart was bumping like a machine gun and my knees felt like melted butter when I stood there, next to all the other girls fully dressed. ;) But it was amazing. The house was full and the audience freaked out when we stepped outside in the dark and the lights went on. So, so crazy! Too much adrenaline going on! ;)

Unfortunately, being a model made it impossible for me to take pictures, but luckily my husband had a seat in the front row as my blogger assistant and made a few snapshots. And thank God there were lots of professional photographers ( for example → Belmondo Photography and → Andreas Grav) and I’m allowed to share their pictures with you. :)

The official video isn’t online yet but hopefully soon – of course, I’ll update this post as soon as it’s available and let you know about it on my social media channels. ;) So don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. And maybe even on Snapchat (luziehtan). ;)

Summer’s over and so is my → #BeachBodyNotSorry special that I have been doing this season. It’s been a lot of fun to share my beach looks with you and it definitely was a matter close to my heart to encourage you all to just don’t give a s*** and head over to the next beach or pool and wear whatever you want, whether it’s a bikini or a swimsuit or you still prefer to cover up a little more with a beach dress or towel. Everything’s okay as long as you feel great. And you should never – I repeat: NEVER – make this dependent on others. Because YOU decide how you feel, how you look, who you want to be – not strangers. Not even your friends or your family. Your body – your rules. And I want to add: your life – your rules.

Coming back to the topic of today’s blog post: in this little recap, I want to show all of my beach looks again and add a few pictures I took on “real” beaches in Brazil during my vacation (a post about it is already in the making, so stay tuned!). And to let you know: it was great. Nobody looked at me in a bad way (at least I didn’t catch anybody watching) and even if – I didn’t care. Because I went to the beach to have fun and I definitely did. I had a great time at several beaches, crowded ones, remote ones, with my family or with complete strangers. Nobody treated me badly because of my body, nobody even mentioned it. All I got was compliments on my beautiful beach wear, on the new bikini I bought in Rio, on what I brought to show off at the famous and not-so-famous beaches. Nobody called me fat or ugly, I never felt like a stranded whale and nobody gave me the feeling that this is not where I’m supposed to be. Because in the heat, that’s where everybody is allowed to be – refreshing oneself in the sea, sunbathing on the beach and maybe even sharing an ice-cold beer with friends.

I really hope that I could at least change one person’s mind and help her to be able to go to the beach without being afraid of being insulted, be it by looks, laughter or words. You’re better than someone else’s small-minded brain that’s not capable of accepting diversity. And you should never listen to these people.

Never forget: everyBODY is beautiful, even if it’s not your own personal taste how someone looks – it’s not up to you to define beauty for the world and it’s not up to you to judge others. And you should never ever feel sorry about your (beach) body.

As a woman, I like to spend all my money on clothes and accessories (sunglasses!!!), shoes and make-up products – just like there’s the saying “shopping is my cardio” (gosh, no wonder men think we’re crazy!) and we love being on a shopping spree for hours, we tend to forget to pamper our body and soul. We say it’s too pricey and to be honest: wellness is a luxury, that’s true. But it’s so worth it! That’s why I saved my money and instead of running to TK Maxx for another pair of sunnies, I made an appointment with Diana Otto at my hairdresser’s. That’s the good thing about his move and the new location: “4U” in Uhlenhorst is not only a place to get your hair done but also indulge in manis and pedis and a great massage – and if you feel like it, you can also do some interior shopping on the ground floor.

During my last sessions with my hair stylist, I saw many happy and relaxed faces coming out of Diana’s room. I couldn’t resist and had to try her massage skills myself. I booked a one-hour full-body massage (€ 75,-) and long story short: I came out with the same face. ;)
Diana made me feel very comfortable (she’s so lovely!) on her huge and soft massage bed and kneaded out all of those horrible knots in my shoulders, my back, my legs and feet, my arms and hands – and even my face. One hour of thinking about nothing, just relaxing and feeling warm oil, hot stones, reviving cream (great for the legs!) and breathing in and out like there’s nothing around me. If you ever need such a time-out, give it a try. Diana will make you feel so comfy, you’ll probably fall asleep in her hands. ;)
By the way: if you like the products she’s using, you can also buy them right away.
