I don’t even know how to start this blog post because there’s way too much love involved. This jumpsuit is EVERYTHING. I can’t even say how much I adore this piece!

When I saw the first pictures of Beth Ditto’s collection, the jumpsuit was the first thing I saw (and then the “Lola” dress). I wasn’t sure which design was my favorite and was so happy when I got the chance to try it on in Berlin. It was a decision between the → “Liquid Black” semi-transparent jumpsuit or → “Noir”, the black one, and even though I really liked the “garbage bag look” (I know, many hate it precisely for this look), I went for the opaque black one because it’s just easier to wear more often and combine it in many different ways. Especially because there are many ways to use this little belt and tie it – untied (and you’ll look like a flying squirrel), tied like in my pictures, tied through the inside (there are tiny hidden holes on the sides which you can pull it through) in the front or back, and you could also cross it in front. I guess there are even more ways to werk it but I still have to find out. Anyways, this style here is definitely my favorite.

My first styling with it is all about black and red. I really love the combo of these two colors and, of course, I couldn’t leave the house without fancy sunnies (such a lucky TK Maxx find – I mean, Céline! More than 50% off, I couldn’t resist, even though these shades are pretty special, but that’s just what made me love them even more!) and red lipstick. Signature look, huh? ;)

I’m a huge “American Horror Story” fan – currently watching season 5 (“Hotel” – and Lady Gaga really deserved that Golden Globe for her role as “The Countess”!) and I love it! My favorite season is “Freak Show” and I’m probably the biggest fan of Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars. These days I was actually pretty sad about the death of David Bowie because I fell in love with → Jessica’s performance of “Heroes” – and the song itself –  on the show.
But for this outfit, I chose season 3, “Coven”, the one about the witches, all dressed up in black for important occasions and looking pretty rad. I kind of mixed the style of the series with that of another one called “Scream Queens”, which, to be honest, I’ve not watched yet but seen a few pictures and kind of liked the styling (that’s where the fuzzy jacket of my look came from). :)

So that’s how my “AHS: Coven meets Scream Queens” look was born. I’m wearing a basic flared dress paired with my Chewbacca (let’s bring in a little Star Wars too!) jacket and overknee boots. For that special touch (you already know I like to make all-black looks more special with an extra something), I finally wore a head wrap again (it’s a huge vintage silk scarf from my mother), my red Gucci bag (with a shortened strap) and added shiny silver details – the belt and my favorite sunnies.
Yes, that’s a very extravagant outfit – and that’s why I love it even more. :) Some time ago I read this quote on Insta: “Dress like you’re already famous!” – my motto for 2016 and the future. :) There’s no reason to hesitate about dressing up whenever I feel like it, and it just reinforces my words from 2015 even more: wear whatever you want, whenever you want!

That’s the last outfit we got to shoot before Hamburg decided to switch into rain mode for, like, forever. The moment I stood in position, ready to shoot, it was like the world decided to show us how much rain was saved in those dark clouds. People walking by the bus stop in front of me (and those sitting in the buses – hello!) must have thought that I’m totally insane, but work is work, right? After the shooting I felt like I had been dipped in a pool backwards – got a hot cup of tea at home and wrapped myself up on the couch. So obviously what I said a few posts ago really happened: more rain, more wind, more darkness and more “I don’t want to go outside!” – and why should I? To get soaked, catch a cold and stay alone at home in bed with loads of tea and medicine? I don’t think so! Let’s hope for some better weather soon, I’d love to shoot again next weekend! :)

Today, I’ve got an idea for a party look for New Year’s Eve for you. Last time going outside with bare legs. I hope that you all will party inside most of the time if you wear such an outfit, cause I know now what it feels like to get into the typical bad weather on NYE (at least I don’t know other weather that night, I guess all my life it was raining at midnight…) – and you don’t want to do this, believe me. :) You better pack an extra pair of warm boots, haha! ;)

Anyways: Christmas and NYE are the best time to shine and sparkle, that’s why I got this dress and paired it with some fun blue heels. Since it’s definitely going to be cold outside (that’s a fact, unless you’re celebrating at the beach – and I’m already jealous!), I added a fuzzy jacket and fixed it with a belt. Of course, it makes me look like a tiny thick teddy bear, but I guess everybody looks a bit fatter in such jackets, right? And it’s about having fun with your clothes and I definitely like the combination – it’s a statement! But as the dress looks great alone, you’ll get to see a few pictures of me freezing in the rain, just for you. And please excuse the poor quality of the pictures, it got darker and darker with every click. Sad story, I really wanted to shine but had no chance against the clouds… :(

ENBe prepared – this is a shoe love story. :)
When I first saw these beauties as a preview on → Sue’s Instagram account, I knew that these shoes would be mine. I’d do everything to get them as soon as they were available. I waited and waited, checked the Nike online store for news on when they’d be released and already phoned a few sneaker stores one week before their launch to know if I’d be able to even reserve a pair (of course, I wasn’t the only one who had fallen in love at first sight – the Internet was full of love declarations and I was seriously afraid that I’d miss them). But no, no reservations.
The release date was first postponed, then moved back to the original day and so I tried it again, gave the Nike Store here in Hamburg a call and they had already arrived on exactly that day, a few days before the official start. Lucky me! :)
I’m pretty sure I’ve never made it downtown that fast and have never tried on a pair of shoes that quickly – after three minutes, they were mine. And that’s how a non-sneaker person became a sneaker person. :) Aren’t they gorgeous? I’m still a high heels lover (as a little dwarf, they’re just better for me, making me look taller than I am and creating loooong legs – and actually more my style, sneakers mostly just don’t look good with dresses), but I’ve definitely been wearing sneakers more often since I got them. :)
