Sure, this outfit isn’t very summery (especially not on these hot days), but it’s definitely worth posting already – so you can still get it with 25% off and get ready for fall. ;) But of course, this is a super classic look, “all black” just how I love it. I even went so far and created a matching make-up by doing smoky eyes and wearing an almost black lipstick. The → “Tal” dress is truly a special piece with a very different cut. I first thought about wearing it with a belt, simply because I like to show my waist, but honestly: this ruins the dress. So if you’re thinking about buying it (and you should!), don’t even think about adding a belt because this dress needs to be worn just like this! That’s what the dress is about and how it looks best. :)

Since my head always looks a bit too small when I wear loose clothes, I went for a hat. This is something I actually have to do so I don’t look distorted. ;) But as I love hats, this isn’t a problem for me – and I think that it rounds off the look perfectly. Also, I went for boots because I felt that delicate sandals or elegant heels just wouldn’t work with the dress. It needs something more rough and bold and so I chose these classic black boots. Do I have to say more? Just in case (and cause I forgot it last time): I’m wearing a size 2 here and the → “Kiss” dress was a size 3 (probably, a 2 would have been better for my small bust, but the 3 was the best choice for my large hips). The fabrics aren’t stretchy, so if you want them to fit, use the measurement chart on the page and check which size will be best for you. ;) And now we’ll let the photos speak for themselves – and don’t forget to watch the video! ;)

It’s time for a new culotte on the blog – the denim version! At the Zizzi blogger event in Berlin, we were allowed to pick a few favorites from current and (near future) coming collections – these pants caught my attention instantly and I was lucky to get the only ones in my size. I also brought another pair of jeans home with me because I really love Zizzi’s cut of jeans, they fit me best and are absolutely great.

Now this is my first styling with this special culotte and it’s also one of my favorite outfits ever because I just fell in love with the whole combination of blue, white and red with golden details (French somehow, right?). Hat, bag and boots in black round it off and the make-up is mostly neutral (I really love this lipstick, which I topped with a bit of lip gloss).

Well, that’s what I want to see when I visit a fair for plus-size fashion. I want to see modern stuff, stylish clothes. Things that skinny people would also wear. Clothes for everyone, not for the fat outsider who wants to be hidden in a ochre-colored sack with no real shape. I want something that makes my fashionista heart beat faster, something that makes me want to get creative and play around with it. Something that screams FASHION! and WEAR ME!, something that makes me look amazing and want to step outside and say: “Look at me! I’m fat AND fashionable, fat AND stylish, fat AND beautiful!” – and I’m absolutely allowed to say and feel this, just like everyone else.

So yes, this is a love declaration to Zizzi – because they don’t mean to hide fat people but to make them feel like a part of everything, of fashion and looking great. Thank you for that!

All black is my all-time favorite. I’d even say that it’s the most sophisticated look a fashionista can wear and if you add that little special extra (in my case it’s the bright red matte lip color), you’ll look stylish as hell. ;)

Culottes were one of the most interesting clothing pieces of last year. I think they are pretty nice and very versatile, you can create extremely cool looks with them and even though you’re almost wearing shorts in winter, you’ll still stay warm enough. Normally, culottes are a bit longer, but I had mine shortened a little more than usual because I think that I’m actually a bit too short to wear them in calf length. I guess that’s the best style of them for me. :)

I went for an all-black look, wearing a very cozy and comfortable sweater and almost flat boots. My favorite vintage coat is my best friend in winter – you’ve already seen it a lot here on the blog. And its texture somehow even matches my boots. It’s all about the details, right? ;)

Fashion is fun – at least that’s how I see it. I love trying new things, getting experimental and mixing stuff, being someone else every day. One day I’m girly and retro, the other day I wear sporty sneakers and look rather casual. Actually, I don’t know how to call today’s style, it’s definitely a crazy mixture: sheer body, casual dress and suede sneakers with a metal toe cap. It’s not a typical Lu style but I totally love it, even though it’s been hard for me to wear sneakers with my dress. Gosh, I think whenever someone asks me about fashion faux pas, I always mention white boots and pairing sneakers with dresses – but normally I mean floral summer dresses, at least this one is pretty minimal and therefore not THAT bad, right? And even white boots can look pretty cool, depends on your style and your attitude! ;)

So, how did this happen? I wanted to find something different for my sneakers – I fell in love with them the second I spotted them online. Actually, I love sneakers, I just don’t really like wearing them, I think they don’t look that good on me. But there are so many wonderful designs – like this one. That’s why I wanted to give them a special “setting”. :)

I also wanted to style the dress in another way – you’ve already seen my Kardashian version → here, very feminine and curvy, so today it’s totally casual. Since it’s pretty cold already, no sleeves were no option, and with a jacket the dress looked totally awkward, don’t know why. But I had the idea of wearing a body underneath – with some special sleeves. On top, I found this hat from my grandmother last time we visited my parents and thought it was pretty cool, and it made the outfit complete.

I think it’s really something different, especially if you know me and my looks, but that’s the point: be creative! That’s what fashion is for. It’s okay to stay in your “comfort zone”, it’s okay to prefer flattering clothes and it’s okay if you don’t want to get crazy, but: it’s also okay to break out of your “comfort zone”, it’s okay to say “eff flattering” and wear whatever you want, and it’s absolutely okay to get crazy. There are no rules, no limits, no actual fashion faux-pas. You’re free!
