I’m a huge “American Horror Story” fan – currently watching season 5 (“Hotel” – and Lady Gaga really deserved that Golden Globe for her role as “The Countess”!) and I love it! My favorite season is “Freak Show” and I’m probably the biggest fan of Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars. These days I was actually pretty sad about the death of David Bowie because I fell in love with → Jessica’s performance of “Heroes” – and the song itself –  on the show.
But for this outfit, I chose season 3, “Coven”, the one about the witches, all dressed up in black for important occasions and looking pretty rad. I kind of mixed the style of the series with that of another one called “Scream Queens”, which, to be honest, I’ve not watched yet but seen a few pictures and kind of liked the styling (that’s where the fuzzy jacket of my look came from). :)

So that’s how my “AHS: Coven meets Scream Queens” look was born. I’m wearing a basic flared dress paired with my Chewbacca (let’s bring in a little Star Wars too!) jacket and overknee boots. For that special touch (you already know I like to make all-black looks more special with an extra something), I finally wore a head wrap again (it’s a huge vintage silk scarf from my mother), my red Gucci bag (with a shortened strap) and added shiny silver details – the belt and my favorite sunnies.
Yes, that’s a very extravagant outfit – and that’s why I love it even more. :) Some time ago I read this quote on Insta: “Dress like you’re already famous!” – my motto for 2016 and the future. :) There’s no reason to hesitate about dressing up whenever I feel like it, and it just reinforces my words from 2015 even more: wear whatever you want, whenever you want!

ENThis summer’s trend is the look of the 70s – this outfit doesn’t look that much like it, but I kind of felt a little “seventies” while wearing it. :) Normally, I’m not a trend person – I prefer to wear what I want and don’t care what I should be wearing to be “in”. Nevertheless, at the moment I catch myself looking for stuff that could have been nice in the 70s. Well, I’m not wearing flared pants, huge platform boots, round sunglasses or any other clichés, but I have a feeling that my outfit could fit into this time. Blame the → silk blouse (which is – as always – more of a dress for me, but I have to sew on one or two buttons because without something underneath I look pretty naked)! :) I chose it extra oversized and am wearing size EU 50/52 for an extra loose fit and very flared sleeves. I fixed it with a small belt for a nicer silhouette and added some of my favorite accessories like my hat, my self-designed nude-colored shoes and – matching the belt – a thin leather bracelet which I got some time ago from Fendi.
By the way: this is my first silk blouse and I really love this fabric. It’s so delicate and light, almost impalpable on your skin, but at the same time a little bit cooling (and that’s probably perfect for summer) and it has such a beautiful print. Definitely not a bargain but I promise: it’s worth every cent!
