I know, black and white is nothing new here – but it is what it is: I just love this combination in every possible way. :) Today’s highlight piece is the shirt from persona by Marina Rinaldi, with a black leaves print and a few transparent details, it has a boxy fit and I just couldn’t resist styling it with my black (fake) leather skirt. I know, this outfit is probably something for fall season, but since the weather has been pretty weird these days (snow and horrible rain in April, crazy stuff – and right after the shower comes sunshine and rainbows, someone’s very confused up there!), I think it’s okay to show something that’s not completely summery. :) Even though I also love wearing black and white in summer. I mean – there’s no wrong time to wear it. ;)

Today’s look is all about that navy blue combo, consisting of the bralette and midi skirt. The skirt is extremely awesome, since it’s pretty heavy and therefore falls very nicely (and in one of the pictures it somehow even looks like culottes – and I like it!). The bralette can be worn differently, you don’t need to cross it in front, it’s actually a simple halterneck top, but I decided that for this look it looked even better crossed. :)

It was still pretty warm when we shot these pictures (in November, oops!), but already cold enough to need a jacket. The blazer was exactly what I needed that day (I’m actually a bit more unsusceptible to cold temperatures than average), but now it will definitely start to get warmer – depending on where you live or are right now. ;)

Do you remember this skirt? → Last time, I wore it as a top with jeans. ;)
This time, I’m wearing it with a nude body and some funny accessories: a dotted scarf instead of adding more stripes, and a gray hat with a fuzzy detail instead of a plain black one (which also looks great with this look, but I wanted something special).

I think we’re not completely ready to say that spring is on its way (it even snowed in my hometown a few days ago and also a little bit here in Hamburg), but I’m happy to see that at least the days are getting longer, there’s also a bit of sunshine from time to time and maybe you could also say that it’s a little bit warmer. So here I am, starting to show you some inspiration for spring looks. Because I really believe that we all don’t want to see this cold anymore! :)

Dress: ASOS
(also available at ASOS Curve)

‘chartreuse’

Ring: YSL Arty Ring
Alternatives: Just Female dress,

Even&Odd sandals, River Island heels,
ALDO clutch, ASOS earrings,
New L0ok ring

“Whoa, that’s heavy!” – my first thought when I received the package. This dress is completely covered in sequins, all-over and multi-layered. If I had to guess, I’d say it probably weighs about 4 kg.

When I first saw the dress in a preview from → Felicity Hayward, I knew I’d do anything to put my hands on it. But it wasn’t available yet and so I spent some time waiting until it finally went online – but my size was sold out. For about five days, I updated the page probably every hour (now that I read it, I sound pretty crazy!) until I finally got it late at night. Just to see it available in the ASOS Curve section (and available in all sizes without any problems) on the same day I finally received it. Talk about timing, huh?

Since this dress is already a huge show-stealer, I went for classic black heels and not many accessories. I decided to create a lilac and purple make-up with falsies just to bring in some color and ended up adding even more color (blocking) with my chartreuse-colored clutch. A bit more interesting than just sticking to the common black stuff – you know, everyone can do that, so why not stand out and be special? ;)
