It’s time for a new culotte on the blog – the denim version! At the Zizzi blogger event in Berlin, we were allowed to pick a few favorites from current and (near future) coming collections – these pants caught my attention instantly and I was lucky to get the only ones in my size. I also brought another pair of jeans home with me because I really love Zizzi’s cut of jeans, they fit me best and are absolutely great.

Now this is my first styling with this special culotte and it’s also one of my favorite outfits ever because I just fell in love with the whole combination of blue, white and red with golden details (French somehow, right?). Hat, bag and boots in black round it off and the make-up is mostly neutral (I really love this lipstick, which I topped with a bit of lip gloss).

Well, that’s what I want to see when I visit a fair for plus-size fashion. I want to see modern stuff, stylish clothes. Things that skinny people would also wear. Clothes for everyone, not for the fat outsider who wants to be hidden in a ochre-colored sack with no real shape. I want something that makes my fashionista heart beat faster, something that makes me want to get creative and play around with it. Something that screams FASHION! and WEAR ME!, something that makes me look amazing and want to step outside and say: “Look at me! I’m fat AND fashionable, fat AND stylish, fat AND beautiful!” – and I’m absolutely allowed to say and feel this, just like everyone else.

So yes, this is a love declaration to Zizzi – because they don’t mean to hide fat people but to make them feel like a part of everything, of fashion and looking great. Thank you for that!

My favorite piece of the whole collection is this parka – just because it’s something very different and I like outstanding stuff. ;) And of course because the parka is just gorgeous. The Japanese-inspired embroidery is such a great highlight and makes the casual parka very special.
I still went for a more casual combination, with jeans and a warm sweater, but of course not without some extra sparkle – my sequined sneakers definitely completed the look and made it even more “me”!

I also decided to do a very natural make-up, and today you’ll find some tips on how to do a “no-make-up make-up” on → sheego’s blog “feel happy!”, so don’t forget to have a look!

I’m getting a bit experimental with new things at the moment – this blouse is something very different. I’ve never worn a long blouse, just because I don’t like it for my figure. I really need to emphasize my waist and long blouses are normally cut extremely wide and straight so it looks like I’m just wearing a formless sack. This one is very special, not only because of the side cuts but also because of the front detail. It first left me kind of desperate because when it arrived here, I had to figure out how the knot detail had to be tied. Also, I’m wearing it tied around the waist – because I think it’s actually supposed to fall down in the front, but you can also wear it like this. So this is how I made it fitted at the waist and therefore work for me. :) Anyways: I love it. This time, I went for a casual but rather sexy look with high heels and a harness at the cleavage. Next time, I want to try a look with sneakers or so. By the way, I didn’t iron the blouse on purpose because I like the wrinkled look (and the fabric is pretty sensitive so it gets crinkled anyways). ;)

ENBe prepared – this is a shoe love story. :)
When I first saw these beauties as a preview on → Sue’s Instagram account, I knew that these shoes would be mine. I’d do everything to get them as soon as they were available. I waited and waited, checked the Nike online store for news on when they’d be released and already phoned a few sneaker stores one week before their launch to know if I’d be able to even reserve a pair (of course, I wasn’t the only one who had fallen in love at first sight – the Internet was full of love declarations and I was seriously afraid that I’d miss them). But no, no reservations.
The release date was first postponed, then moved back to the original day and so I tried it again, gave the Nike Store here in Hamburg a call and they had already arrived on exactly that day, a few days before the official start. Lucky me! :)
I’m pretty sure I’ve never made it downtown that fast and have never tried on a pair of shoes that quickly – after three minutes, they were mine. And that’s how a non-sneaker person became a sneaker person. :) Aren’t they gorgeous? I’m still a high heels lover (as a little dwarf, they’re just better for me, making me look taller than I am and creating loooong legs – and actually more my style, sneakers mostly just don’t look good with dresses), but I’ve definitely been wearing sneakers more often since I got them. :)
