Actually, today’s “One Night in…” is a ‘two nights’ post, since I had the pleasure to stay for two nights at → Home House in London. And I’m very thankful for that – because this is a magical place!

Home House is a private member’s club, actually consists of three houses (n° 19 to 21) and is not only a club with many amazing lounges and bars, two restaurants and much more, but also has a few incredible rooms, including three suites that were all booked for our shooting with → Scarlett & Jo last weekend. Since the suites were already booked as “studios” for Saturday, it would have been pretty stupid not to let someone sleep in them, right? That’s why S&J let us, → Ana and me, spend two nights in them. My little kingdom for these days was the → “George Hanbury” suite and I couldn’t have been more pleased with it – it’s the perfect mixture of 18th century chic and modern luxury (TV in the bathroom – I had a great time taking a hot bath on Saturday before going to bed!), all covered in a dark mint, turquoise and golden color concept with lovely details (like the wallpaper and the lamps).

I can’t even say how royal (Queen who?) I felt in my 55m² paradise, how great I slept in the world’s comfiest king-size bed (I even had an extra nap on Sunday after an intense Saturday!) and how happy I was with the delightful room service, which spoiled me with some late dinner on Saturday and a delicious breakfast on Sunday.
I really didn’t want to leave (even with the late checkout at 2pm, having to go was hard!) and enjoyed every minute of my stay. Thanks a lot to the lovely team of Scarlett & Jo, especially Gifi and → Hanna, who made me feel at home and like a part of their family and made these three days just amazing and unforgettable and the perfect start of our collaboration – I’m very happy to be your ambassador!

I can’t even say how much I enjoyed going out for dinner in Rio. :) Those two luxurious dinners we had (find my post about our dinner at the “Mee” → here), were definitely two highlights of our vacation. Not just because it’s luxury, the food was simply delicious! And this is coming from someone who’s normally not very interested in Italian food (gosh, many people will think I’m crazy, right?). I don’t really care about pizza and pasta, but this time I wanted to give it a try, especially because the FASANO is known for its great food, including sea food. But if there’s something that I’m even less interested in, then it’s sea food (well, except for oysters, haha!) and cooked fish (but please give me anything raw – one day I’ll become a sushi myself!). So I chose a few classics from the Italian cuisine and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, this was one of the best dinners I ever had and I can definitely recommend booking a table and enjoying dinner at the “FASANO al mare” – maybe even the same dishes I had. ;)

Before flying to Brazil, I attended an event in Florence. The presentation of Christina Aguilera’s new fragrance → “Touch of Seduction”, among other things inspired by Italian velvet, took place at the hotel “Il Salviatino”, a gorgeous luxurious hotel up the hills of Florence. I had the chance to spend one night there and enjoy not only the amazing view from there (you can spot the dome from the hotel’s terrace), but also the sunniest and best weather ever. Of course, I took some pictures to share some impressions with you in my “One Night in…” category – to be honest, I wish I could take a plane right now and stay there again…

Back in Germany, it’s not only time to unpack the suitcases (check!) but also to remember the good times and incredible experiences we had in Rio de Janeiro. The city doesn’t only offer beautiful places but also great food (don’t miss the chance to eat your way through ALL of the fruits, and of course, if you love meat, you have to try a “churrasco”, for example at “Carretão” in Ipanema).
Since I was little, one of my biggest dreams has been to visit the hotel “Copacabana Palace”, THE legend of Rio and the place where all the rich and famous stay. The building is on Avenida Atlântica, the street running along the beach of Copacabana, and is definitely a gem – one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. Of course, I was very curious to see how it looked inside! So as we were on vacation, plus the exchange rate from euros to reais was pretty nice, we took our chance and booked a table at their Asian (actually Pan-Asian) restaurant “Mee”. There’s also a great Italian restaurant at the Copacabana Palace, the “Cipriani”, but as we already had dinner at the FASANO in Ipanema the night before (blog post coming!), we went for this exotic dinner. And we were pretty lucky that night – not only was the dinner extremely good, but we also had some famous company: thanks to “Rock in Rio”, there were some celebrities dining next to us – Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Tommy Lee, Guns N’ Roses,… (we probably just didn’t recognize the rest of them!). Pretty exciting, huh? :)
