It’s time for a new culotte on the blog – the denim version! At the Zizzi blogger event in Berlin, we were allowed to pick a few favorites from current and (near future) coming collections – these pants caught my attention instantly and I was lucky to get the only ones in my size. I also brought another pair of jeans home with me because I really love Zizzi’s cut of jeans, they fit me best and are absolutely great.

Now this is my first styling with this special culotte and it’s also one of my favorite outfits ever because I just fell in love with the whole combination of blue, white and red with golden details (French somehow, right?). Hat, bag and boots in black round it off and the make-up is mostly neutral (I really love this lipstick, which I topped with a bit of lip gloss).

Well, that’s what I want to see when I visit a fair for plus-size fashion. I want to see modern stuff, stylish clothes. Things that skinny people would also wear. Clothes for everyone, not for the fat outsider who wants to be hidden in a ochre-colored sack with no real shape. I want something that makes my fashionista heart beat faster, something that makes me want to get creative and play around with it. Something that screams FASHION! and WEAR ME!, something that makes me look amazing and want to step outside and say: “Look at me! I’m fat AND fashionable, fat AND stylish, fat AND beautiful!” – and I’m absolutely allowed to say and feel this, just like everyone else.

So yes, this is a love declaration to Zizzi – because they don’t mean to hide fat people but to make them feel like a part of everything, of fashion and looking great. Thank you for that!

I already wrote about → my visit to the Curvy® plus-size fair, today I’ve got my outfit for you. I went for a special but casual look – instead of wearing black (which is the most-seen color at such events), I wanted to show some color (remember my resolutions for 2016? Take this as an example! ;)), that’s why I chose my favorite skirt ever, the “Eyoma” skirt from Dearcurves – and it was a major success at the fair, everyone loved it! If you want to get your own skirt, you can order it → here and by using the discount code queen20, you’ll get 20% off! ;)

When I last wore the skirt, I went for the actual lookbook look and paired it with the “Eyoma” body with a traditional Ankara print, so this time I dug up a veeeery old piece out of my closet. The body is from the 2009 “Divided Exclusive” collection (and it’s size EU 40, still fits without any problems!), so you see: sometimes keeping things and wearing them again is worth it – I think that’s a great match!

For the casual look, I had to choose flats. Since it doesn’t matter which kind of flat shoes you wear for about 6 hours of standing and walking around (your feet will always hurt afterwards, as did mine), I did something that’s quite unusual for me: I wore sneakers. But of course not without being fabulous and picking my sequined Chucks – had to be sparkling. :) I’m normally totally against that mixture, but somehow I really loved the combo of those glittering shoes with the rather elegant look. And it shows that you can wear this skirt like that – casually – too.

And we’re back with another gorgeous skirt! This is a very special piece from a lovely person named Karissa which took a loooong time to finally reach me – but that’s okay, good things always take a little longer (and it was an exception because the actual fabric – turquoise and pink – got lost on its way to Karissa and I had to choose another one), right? You can find her clothes on → etsy.
I guess I have to stop talking about my passionate love for African prints, I don’t want to bore you, so all I want to say is that this skirt is won-der-ful! Karissa was so kind to make it as a custom order for me, since she actually makes a dress out of that fabric but I wanted a skirt. :) It fits like a glove and is perfectly finished.

Of course, such an amazing skirt needs a great frame, that’s why I chose some basics in off-white and black, plus some very special killer ankle boots from Casadei, which are thrifted (but were almost unworn) and were on sale – one of my → lucky shoe sale finds. ;) These boots are incredibly comfy, even though they’re extremely high (but that’s a great bonus for dwarfy me), and don’t they just look amazeballs?

This is the world’s most beautiful skirt – without exceptions and any need for discussion! :) I love everything about it: the cut, the color, the fabric and mostly how perfectly it fits and how great it looks with the matching body of last year’s “Eyoma” collection by Dearcurves.

My love for African prints continues and I hope there will be many for me this year. I’m always looking for great modern looks to wear. :)
Dearcurves created a great collection – especially the wax print bodysuit is a very cool twist on the typical somehow hard fabrics, as the pattern was printed on a stretchy bodysuit. I’m absolutely sure that you’ll see both pieces again this year – combined differently. And I can’t wait to wear this skirt again when it’s a bit warmer. At the moment, to be honest, this is not the best outfit choice, since it’s very cold (winter strikes again!), but as always: this is an inspiration – you can always make it your own look by adding or removing some pieces. Feel free to be creative! ;)
