Here comes a new “One Night in…” post – and since I’m currently not living in Hamburg, I can show you one of the most amazing places to stay! Actually, it feels like a home away from home and it’s perfectly located in Hamburg, especially if you get to have a “room with a view” and can watch the Elbe and listen to the seagulls. ♥ During my last visit in Hamburg, I was lucky enough to stay at the → 25hours HafenCity for four nights and it was a blast. I stayed in one of their M Koje+ rooms, which means: medium sized room, perfect queensized bed (I slept like a baby!), view at the harbor (or the garden), air conditioning, free WiFi (yay!), rain shower (so good!), UE Boom Bluetooth speakers (which I used every morning while getting ready for the day!) and a few more extras you can choose in the hotel (like renting a Mini for free or a bike).

As usual – yeah, shame on me, I’m still not a brekkie person and always try to sleep a little more – I missed breakfast every day because I was very busy these days, but I had a peek and it looked amazing, so I’m 100% sure that if you’re someone who loves breakfast, you’ll be totally happy with their offers! Promise! On day one, I just had a late-night snack at their restaurant “Heimat Küche + Bar”, a homemade lemonade and a delicious dessert (“Geeister Kaiserschmarrn”) – totally recommendable.

Another plus is their location, because you can easily take the U4 which is right across the street or simply walk anywhere – the harbor and also the city are just a 10 minute walk away. So if you’re planning a city trip, this is a great place to stay and start your exploring. :) And if you like to stay in (maybe cause the weather is causing some problems – you never know in Hamburg…), there are some cool indoor specials at the 25hours HafenCity, like a table-top football, retro gaming stations and a nice sauna (also with a view)! And don’t forget to have a look at the most amazing room in this hotel, where you can listen to some records on vinyl. ♥

Today’s “One Night in…” is actually a “three nights in” and another fun fact is that I spent last night there again! :) I’m more than happy to share this with you because it’s such a pleasure to stay at the Hyatt Regency. It’s probably unnecessary to write about it because the Hyatt group is already established around the world but it’s been so great to stay at the 12th floor and also be able to spend some time in the room and also the hotel (which isn’t normally like that cause I just spend the nights in my room when there is an event in the city).

I even got to try out their spa – my first time ever in a spa and it was absolutely amazing! I chose the “The Cosmopolitan” ritual and the “TOP Enzyme Peeling Vitamin C & Papaya” facial treatment and I can highly recommend both! It’s been the best 3 hours ever after a super exciting day and hard work! :)

The staff is very friendly and polite, I had a lovely chat with the night doorman when I came back after a late shoot and everybody was helpful at any time. A special thanks goes also to the spa lady (and the one who did my treatments) who assisted me with the choice and made it all happen at short notice, since I had never been at a spa before. :)

It’s been some time since my last night in Berlin – luckily, this one was one of the best I’ve ever had. This post will be a high recommendation of the hotel, since I really loved my room and I also enjoyed the friendly staff (even though we barely had some contact, just during the check-in and check-out but they were extremely kind).

I love the kind of industrial style of the room and the fancy pictures of Berlin’s “Neptunbrunnen” on the lamps and also the bathroom window.

The bed was extremely cozy and I slept like a baby – which was much needed because the event’s party night was looong! Nevertheless, I also had some spare time in my room and spent the afternoon in bed, watching TV (they even have a few Sky channels), so I had the chance to enjoy it all a little bit, even though I had to leave for the evening/night.

Unfortunately, I had no time for breakfast but I’m sure it’s great. Anyways, I’ve got a special café recommendation for you: “Einstein Kaffee” at the Alexanderplatz – they have the most delicious cheesecake (it’s horribly pricey but totally worth it) and a wide range of coffee to choose.

I hope you’ll enjoy my impressions of the room!

At the end of September, I went to Milan for a special event with Marina Rinaldi. For this occasion, I was invited to stay one night at the “Rosa Grand”, a hotel of the Starhotels group. Unfortunately, it was only a very short stay, but it was very pleasant – that’s why I’m sharing my impressions and a few thoughts about it with you.

First, I have to tell you that the hotel is located in the heart of Milan, just a quick walk to the Milan Cathedral and all those shopping streets a fashionista has to know, including the famous “Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.” with high-fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and many more. Therefore, the location is perfect not only for shopping but also for sightseeing (and I’m so sad that I didn’t have time for that, because it was my first time in Milan!). You’ll find several restaurants and cafés nearby, and of course, I also have an ice cream tip for you, directly at the hotel. ;)
