This fall, I’m starting a new collaboration with C&A – I can’t wait to show you the whole exciting project which was shot and filmed in Düsseldorf at the end of August. It’s super cool and I’m incredibly proud to be a part of it! I’ll tell you more about it all in an extra blog post as soon as I receive the pictures and videos! :)

I’ll also be showing you a few looks from their plus-size collection through fall and winter and I hope you’re going to love it as much as I do. These looks will definitely be a little bit more casual than usual, since fall and winter are very cozy and comfy and I’m pretty sure you’ll like to see some everyday options, right?

Today, I’m starting with a casual chic style with lots of blue. It’s kind of unusual to see me wearing regular jeans since I usually go for skinny jeans but I like the loose style in combination with the long cardigan and the tunic, which I tucked into the pants cause it would’ve been to much of that “layering style” and therefore not very flattering – even though many people will tell fat women that this is the best way to “conceal” your body, but truth is: you’ll look just way bigger than you are if you just layer loose and mostly oversized shapes! Your body will get lost and hidden and you’ll just look like a sack of clothes. So here’s my tip: there’s nothing wrong with showing your waistline and this is easy to do when wearing pants under a cardi – just tuck your shirt into the pants. I know many are scared to show their belly outline but there’s no need to hide it. It’s just a belly! :)

I’m finally able to show you another #BeachBodyNotSorry look – this time in cooperation with sheego. I wrote → an article for their magazine in which you can find some tips about confidence at the beach. Since the article is in German, I translated my three tips for you:

1 • Yes, people will be watching you. But maybe they’re not even thinking badly about you? They may think your bikini/swimsuit looks nice, maybe they think you’re a beautiful person, or maybe they’re asking themselves why they didn’t dare to go to the beach like this yet. Sure, there will be some of them thinking very bad things about you, but especially as long as they’re not saying anything, you really shouldn’t care!

2 • If you already know that you won’t feel good in a bikini, there’s no sense in forcing you to wear it. People will notice that you’re not happy. I’m sure you’ll feel better wearing a tankini or swimsuit and if that’s still too naked for your own taste, a cute pareo/beach towel is a great and handy idea to give you a little more confidence – and you can wrap them in so many different ways! You can find a lot of tutorials on YouTube.

3 • The sun is shining, it’s hot outside, everybody wants to cool down and have fun. And that’s what everybody’s concerned about – you may think that everybody’s watching you and making up their minds about you and even gossip secretly or say something very unpleasant that the whole beach could hear, but the truth is: everybody’s so much self-involved that the majority of people around you absolutely don’t care what you’re wearing and how you look. In the end, unfortunately (!) every woman at the beach is thinking the same and doesn’t want to make a bad impression. There’s no space left for a single thought about you and your body at the beach.
But I really need to add to this point that I find it really sad that we’re so much fixated on pleasing others – this should never be our priority number one, especially not at the beach! Enjoy your life and summer!

P.S.: I’ve still got some beachwear here to be photographed! If you’re a photographer in the Erlangen/Nürnberg area, please drop me a line, I’m currently looking for new people to work with me! :)

Bikini Top: H&M+
Bikini Bottoms: Phylyda “Sol”
Hat: Vintage
Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana “Spain in Sicily”
Earrings: Dior “Mise en Dior”
Alternatives: ASOS bikini top,
ASOS bikini top, ASOS bikini bottoms,
ASOS hat

My second #BeachBodyNotSorry look is an experienced version of the classic Mix & Match – because I’m not only mixing different colors/patterns but also brands. Unfortunately, I could only buy the bikini top with the palm print so I had to improvise. I kind of got crazy with Phylyda and already own three bikinis, the black and pink combo, the light blue one from my last post (the → diversity project) and a full copper one. I decided to wear only the bottoms of the last one because I thought that adding the copper to the palm print will kind of make it look like an actual tree. :D Well… I like the mix. plus it looks amazing with the matching sunglasses – and cause it is super hot and extremely sunny these days, I’m wearing a hat. It’s a vintage piece I found in my grandma’s closet. :)

I must admit – after correcting the colors and sharpness of today’s pictures, somehow, the legs ended up with some weird texture. Don’t worry, though – I didn’t retouch anything and you can obviously see my cellulite! With that in mind, I kindly welcome you to this year’s #BeachBodyNotSorry project! :)

I already got to know about Phylyda last year but there was no time for a collab left. I’m so happy that we managed to do something for this season and this also means that by now, I already own three bikinis from Phylyda, since I escalated at the pop-up store back in April. No “oops” from me because these pieces are worth every cent and their “mix & match” ability is level 100 – every combination looks just amazing! Lydia, the founder of Phylyda, asked me to shoot this combo and I happily said yes, crossed a fence, climbed down many rocks and positioned myself at the Elbe at low tide for a photo shoot that made many people stare (of course, it was so super sunny on that Sunday, so everybody was out for a walk…). And I loved it! Best way to start a new season of my favorite project. Can’t wait to do more of these shoots and I hope you’re also super excited to see more of them!
