Let’s just quickly talk about this hat first before I tell you more about → today’s amazing dress. ;) I’ve always been a huge fan of → Frollein von Sofa’s hats but never really found the perfect occasion to buy one. But when I got → my D&G dress, I thought that one of those little hats would be a lovely accessory and asked Anne if she could make one with poppies and daisies to match my dress. When it arrived, I was super happy and ready to combine it with my favorite dress, but somehow it looked even better with this one – so here’s my first look with it. :)

About the dress: I think this is one of the loveliest dresses from Scarlett & Jo and it’s perfect for every day – it can be styled casually or elegantly, everything looks great with it. This time, I went for a mixture – casually with flat sandals but with that special extra: the hat. :) I hope you like it!
By the way: I’m wearing a UK size 16, as always, and the waistline can be adjusted in the back with a bow, but it’s also a bit elastic. ;)

Aaaah, the 70s – I’ve actually never been a great fan of the typical style of the 70s, but since last summer, I’ve started to like a few pieces that fit perfectly into this decade. It’s fun to style yourself in different ways and give everything a chance instead of always saying “no” when it’s not your usual style. So here I am, wearing → this dress from the current Anna Scholz for sheego collection, the second piece of my editorial “trilogy”, and it’s the dress that was most difficult for me to style – just because I’m not used to the cutouts, the paisley print and that whole 70s flair. But (and that’s a huge one): I really love it! I kind of feel like a modern hippie diva and adding my own accessories to the dress was lots of fun. :)

You all know me, I’m always up for a chic look, so after → last time, when I showed you how casual I can be, here’s an elegant version with another lovely dress that’s just perfect for summer. I had to take it one size up for a nicer fit, so I’m wearing a EU46, which I made a bit more formfitted with a small belt that works perfectly with my platform heels. ;) I actually wanted to wear a cognac-colored hat, but unfortunately I don’t own one, so I had to go for black, but I think it’s actually a nice contrast, especially because it’s a straw hat, which makes it not too heavy as the only black piece in this look.

Last Saturday, I went to the → Murek Hamburg headquarters for a great blogger event. The brand presented its current summer collection and a preview of the upcoming winter collection, and we had the chance to create our own styles with the summer pieces. We also got the chance to pre-order our favorites of the winter collection and we probably all fell in love with one special jacket, so keep your eyes open around August – you’ll see it a lot and (I’m pretty sure about this) many different styles with it!

Murek Hamburg is a German brand for occasional wear based in Hamburg. They’re already over 60 years old – which means they’re really experienced in their niche and they really know about fit. Since they’re already established around the world, especially in the Arabian region and Belgium, they now want to get known better here in Germany – and we bloggers want to help, because even though there are a few pieces that are definitely a bit old-fashioned (and have too many rhinestones on them – but here’s something cool: you can order everything without them if you don’t like these little stones!), this brand has potential. And their speciality is plus size because their best-selling sizes are EU48-50 (their sizes go up to 56). So they know what they’re talking about if it’s about plus-size occasional wear. ;)
I think we gave them some good ideas on how to improve the modern style of the brand and I’m pretty sure we’ll see a lot of Murek’s great fashion in the future (of course also up here on the blog because I can’t wait to style my three pieces of the winter collection)!

In order to show what amazing styles you can do with their clothes – not only for special occasions but also day wear – we had a great shoot and I want to share all looks with you. :)

I’m definitely a spring lover – the weather is just right for me: not too warm, not too cold (even though the majority would say that it’s still too cold for bare legs and sandals). I wish it could be like this the whole year!
On one of the first warm days of the year, I took my chance to step outside in my beloved Chanel pearl sandals and go for a pastel look from head to toe, enjoying the sunshine and beautiful view at our harbor.
