Seems like this is my first fall look of the year (even though I still hope that the sun won’t be gone as soon as expected so I can still wear a handful of summer outfits I couldn’t wear when I was sick in bed…)! And I wore it for a great occasion! As you all know, I was in Milan from Friday to Saturday last week with Marina Rinaldi for a special event. The capsule collection in cooperation with Stella Jean was presented on Friday evening and I was invited to come and have a look together with → Callie Thorpe and → Hayley Hasselhoff. But first, we had a delicious lunch and visited Marina Rinaldi’s flagship store in the heart of Milan for a styling session. It was super fun to try on a few of their stylist’s suggestions at the store and pick out some favorite pieces like the dress I’m showing you today (and which is part of the current collaboration with Tsumori Chisato). I guess we’ll receive the photos soon and I will show them to you in one of my next posts.

In the evening we finally got to see the presentation, which was absolutely stunning. The location was as artful as the collection and definitely the highlight of the day. Afterwards we had the most delicious Italian dinner at LARTE with the Marina Rinaldi team – the day was amazing and I really want to say thanks to everyone again. It was a pleasure to spend the day with you. ♥

The outfit I chose for the day is kind of casual chic and has this cool twist with the socks. I know they’re not everyone’s favorite, as I already found out on my social media channels, but I think that they’re exactly what makes the outfit an outfit. Of course, the look is nice without socks too – but with socks, it’s my kind of fashion. ;) It was fun to wear this look in Milan, I also had the feeling that I was photographed a few times on the streets and at the event, and yes, this makes me kind of proud. ;) It was also super exciting to see this absolutely fashionable city during Fashion Week. So many stylish people walking around – I kind of miss this here in Germany. We totally need a bit of that “Dolce Vita” feeling. ;)

I actually wanted to get → this dress in red, but now I’m more than happy that I got the gray version because it’s much more special. It’s a different color, at least for me, since I don’t have any pieces of this color in my closet.
Also, this dress is just perfect in terms of cut and length (I simply love midis) and the shoulder detail is the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen. The waist detail doesn’t really ask for a belt since it already works great to accentuate your waist and make the dress form-fitted, but I felt a belt would be a nice addition and would give the whole look my own touch. ;)

You all know me, I like to skip the obvious and that’s why I went for beige heels instead of black ones. I think black is too harsh and will somehow break the delicate look – maybe if you choose different accessories to accompany black shoes, they’ll work, but for my look, I just wanted something very feminine and soft.

Just like I explained in my last outfit post, fashion allows us to be who we want, and we can make a new decision every time we’re in front of our closet. ;) So last time, I wanted to wear a very tight and colorful dress – this time, I went for a very classic and sophisticated look, including a new piece in my jewelry collection: my first Chanel brooch! :) I actually wanted to shoot this outfit earlier, but when I finally had some luck at the store (every time I went there, they didn’t have any at all, but last time there were about 12 different brooches!), I instantly knew that this was exactly that last detail to complete this look. :)

People always say that fat girls can’t wear (horizontal) stripes – why’s that? I love stripes and I don’t care if they make me look fatter than I already am. That’s another thing about fashion that people need to start to understand: fashion is not about making you look thinner. Fashion is about the freedom I mentioned in my last post, the freedom to wear whatever I like, whatever pleases my own taste. And if someone else doesn’t like it – hell, I don’t give a single f***. And neither should you. ;)

This week, I’ve got two outfits with a very special background for you – the two dresses you’ll see are from Israel, made by Liron Horwitz, a great designer. Her brand’s name is “onchiq” and this is the → first dress with the lovely name “Kiss”. You can also buy it in black, but I fell in love with the stripes design, so I decided to choose this one, even though I’m a huge lover of “all black”. ;)

The detail I really adore about this dress is the design of the sleeves. I don’t know if this style has a special name, but I wish I could find more dresses with such fancy sleeves! :) Of course, I had to do something special for this amazing dress – so I went for some very different sunnies (love the color effect from green to blue!), a gray hat instead of the obvious black one and – these are obvious – red lips. The belt is also from onchiq and actually part of the “Drama” dress. The “Kiss” dress has a striped belt which also looks amazing with the dress, but sometimes it’s all about contrast, right? And for me, it was easier to wear this dress with a wide belt since the upper part is a tiny bit loose because of my smaller bust, so I could hide the remaining fabric under the belt. I know, that’s not how it’s supposed to be done, but it worked and it didn’t come out while walking around and sitting, so this is definitely an option whenever you have a piece that’s a bit too large – wide belt, tuck in, and you’re good to go. ;)

I can’t wait to show you the second look on Friday – this one’s going to be a total “all black” look and very edgy, but I’m sure you’re going to love it! ;)
