July’s on and it’s time to say that half the year is already done – isn’t it crazy how time flies? Here we go with another recap of the month…

Let’s start with some features where you were able to find me this month: Refinery29 is now also online in Germany and I’m super honored to tell you that they introduced me as one of Germany’s 29 most inspirational women. You can read my interview → here (in German). I’m also one of SAAL ZWEI’s → six favorite fashion blogs, together with some lovely ladies! There’s a → feature from April on “El País” (thanks to my lovely blogger friend → Ana) which keeps bringing me some new readers, so since I forgot to mention it back then, I’m doing it today. ;) I’ve also talked to Deutschlandradio Wissen again, this time → about sizing, and even though they didn’t use much of our phone call, it’s an interesting broadcast! And the last feature this month is probably → the nicest blog post someone has ever written about me – thank you so much, dear Jessica, for your incredibly kind words (I kind of felt like an uber-celebrity after reading this!). ♥
Something very important for me this month was → this blog post about sexual harassment online and even though I knew that it wouldn’t change anything about these men’s behavior (for example, I received another dick pic afterwards – but answered with three STD penises and a block and report – and another man seriously offered me $10.000 for five hours with me), it felt good to write down what I think about it all. I really hope that one day we and our children won’t have to deal with this kind of inappropriate stuff.
Happy things this month: we went home to visit our families and for my best friend’s wedding (which was amazing). You can see my outfit → here and a cute couple photo of me and my husband → here. What I didn’t tell you – I was super proud to be her make-up artist for the day because she’s not that much into make-up but wanted to do something nice on her wedding day. This was a very special and proud moment for me and she looked stunning – of course! ;)
Another happy story – it seems like my dentist nightmare is almost over. I had to visit my dentist at home to repair what the other one ruined and now it’s definitely better. Going to check it all in a few months and I hope that everything will be good again soon. Phew!
Also, last week, we went to Berlin for Fashion Week – well, not really, because I had some serious hay fever attack on that day and we couldn’t leave the house soon enough. So we missed the Panorama fair (but it seems it wasn’t that interesting after all) but spent a lovely evening with Zizzi, first getting a presentation at the Hotel de Rome and later enjoying some delicious BBQ on the hotel’s rooftop! :) Thanks again for inviting us, it’s always a pleasure!
July isn’t that busy (as always, huh?), but there are some nice events coming up – one took place on July 1 and since it’s already July 6, I’ll just tell you here that I was part of this year’s jury at the model casting for the Plus Size Fashion Days here in Hamburg in October. It was a great day and super interesting, we’ve seen lots of amazing women and I can’t wait to see who’ll be on the catwalk on October 30! So exciting!
There’s another fashion show this week in Hamburg and tomorrow’s a huge launch party with Urban Decay in Berlin to celebrate the new Vice lipsticks (I’ve already seen them all → here and it’s seriously hard to choose between all the 100 colors, they’re all gorgeous!).
At the moment that’s everything on my schedule, but since blogging is always a surprise, I guess and hope that there’ll be more in next month’s recap – stay tuned! :)
