Last Saturday, I went to the → Murek Hamburg headquarters for a great blogger event. The brand presented its current summer collection and a preview of the upcoming winter collection, and we had the chance to create our own styles with the summer pieces. We also got the chance to pre-order our favorites of the winter collection and we probably all fell in love with one special jacket, so keep your eyes open around August – you’ll see it a lot and (I’m pretty sure about this) many different styles with it!

Murek Hamburg is a German brand for occasional wear based in Hamburg. They’re already over 60 years old – which means they’re really experienced in their niche and they really know about fit. Since they’re already established around the world, especially in the Arabian region and Belgium, they now want to get known better here in Germany – and we bloggers want to help, because even though there are a few pieces that are definitely a bit old-fashioned (and have too many rhinestones on them – but here’s something cool: you can order everything without them if you don’t like these little stones!), this brand has potential. And their speciality is plus size because their best-selling sizes are EU48-50 (their sizes go up to 56). So they know what they’re talking about if it’s about plus-size occasional wear. ;)
I think we gave them some good ideas on how to improve the modern style of the brand and I’m pretty sure we’ll see a lot of Murek’s great fashion in the future (of course also up here on the blog because I can’t wait to style my three pieces of the winter collection)!

In order to show what amazing styles you can do with their clothes – not only for special occasions but also day wear – we had a great shoot and I want to share all looks with you. :)

• Beth Ditto Collection & Private Shopping Event •

I promised to write an extra post about my very special date from last week – I met Beth Ditto in Berlin. She was visiting Munich and Berlin here in Germany (and a few other cities around the world) to show her first collection, give lots of interviews and host a trunk show aka private shopping event for fans and people who wanted to see the collection, buy something from it and, of course, meet Beth.

I was invited to a private meeting with Beth and since I’m pretty bad at interviews (answering questions is easier than asking them!), we just had fun together, chitchatted and I tried on almost everything of → the collection. My two favorites are the → “Lola” dress and the → “Modern Love” jumpsuit. Since I had the chance to choose a favorite before the event (but it hasn’t arrived yet), I was lucky to get both, so I took my chance and bought the second favorite myself. ;) You’ll get a little sneak peek of the one I got first at the end of this post! ;)

Today, I want to share a few pictures of this year’s → Plus Size Fashion Days here in Hamburg with you. It’s been a crazy and incredible time, a (hopefully not really) once-in-a-lifetime experience and so much fun! Tanja, the founder of our German PSFDays asked me if I wanted to be a part of it, to be one of the models on the runway, and I didn’t hesitate one second and said yes. Being part of this body positive and especially size diversity project is an honor and seriously: I really wanted to be a model at least for one day – because I’m actually way too small to do it professionally (so sad about this!).

Of course, there’s lots of work and training behind the whole show, we started on Thursday with the fittings and I was chosen to walk for Manou Lenz, Happy Size and Beautiful Curves. I was extremely happy with my outfits, two beautiful dresses, color and the prettiest hot pink lingerie for my last walk. Yup, you’re reading right: lingerie. Underwear. Half-naked. Me. Let me say: my whole body was shaking, my heart was bumping like a machine gun and my knees felt like melted butter when I stood there, next to all the other girls fully dressed. ;) But it was amazing. The house was full and the audience freaked out when we stepped outside in the dark and the lights went on. So, so crazy! Too much adrenaline going on! ;)

Unfortunately, being a model made it impossible for me to take pictures, but luckily my husband had a seat in the front row as my blogger assistant and made a few snapshots. And thank God there were lots of professional photographers ( for example → Belmondo Photography and → Andreas Grav) and I’m allowed to share their pictures with you. :)

The official video isn’t online yet but hopefully soon – of course, I’ll update this post as soon as it’s available and let you know about it on my social media channels. ;) So don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. And maybe even on Snapchat (luziehtan). ;)

EN

I’m really overwhelmed – this outfit is my most-liked outfit ever on Instagram (at least the little preview of it)! I have to admit that it’s definitely one of my favorite outfits too. :) I’ve already worn this jumpsuit a few times – and it is a great companion for evening events. Just like last Thursday at the “Cabaret” fashion show by Maite Kelly for bonprix here in Hamburg. I wanted to match my outfit to the motto of the evening and created kind of a ringmaster look with my red Pucci jacket (isn’t it great – this has definitely been my best TK Maxx bargain!). :)

For the shooting (which we already had the weekend before) I chose some sunglasses with golden frames that perfectly go with the accessories – somehow, I don’t care about others mixing silver and gold, but for myself I prefer only using one color. :) My hair got a new styling (it’s fascinating how much I like to try new things with my short hair!) and as the outfit is already the center of attention, my make-up is very simple.
